🌧️ Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time celebrating the ribbon cutting for Guaranty Bank! 🎉

The new space for their Charleston Branch on the Kanawha Boulevard is absolutely stunning and the perfect home for their growing presence in our community. We’re excited to welcome Guaranty Bank to Charleston and look forward to all the ways they’ll serve and invest in the Kanawha Valley. Congratulations to CEO Josh Stowers and his entire team on this special day!

The Appalachian Center for Independent Living (ACIL) is a nonprofit Center for Independent Living (CIL), part of a nationwide network established under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. CILs are community-based organizations designed and led by people with disabilities to promote independence, self-determination, and equal access. Serving central West Virginia, ACIL provides advocacy, peer support, independent living services, information and referral, transportation, Veterans services, and home and community-based supports to help individuals with disabilities live, work, and participate fully in their communities.

Congratulations to Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin on an outstanding Municipal League Conference and an incredible year of leadership as President of the West Virginia Municipal League! 👏We are grateful for Mayor Goodwin's leadership, dedication to strengthening communities across our state, and for her commitment to collaboration and economic growth.

We also enjoyed an engaging moderated discussion led by our friend Danny Twilley, highlighting the impact of Ascend WV and what it takes to build thriving communities that attract and retain talent. The Ascend WV Charleston Area program has brought us almost 100 new residents to Kanawha County since May! Thanks to Mayor Goodwin and all our partners who are making a difference!
