Our Girl Scouts are making headlines! 📰💚 Have you heard about Maisie and her Girl Scout Gold Award project?

As a student athlete, Maisie turned her passion for sports into an opportunity to make a difference. Through her Gold Award project, she created a local sports closet for young athletes and developed mental health lanyards to share helpful tips and resources.

Maisie is a great example of how Girl Scouts can participate in activities they love while building valuable life skills. Through Girl Scouts, girls can discover their interests, develop their leadership skills and make a difference in their communities.

Last year, Girl Scouts from across our council gathered at Tygart Lake State Park for Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend! ⛺✨

Now, we're getting ready to make more memories in the great outdoors! This fall, Girl Scouts Love State Parks is back with multiple ways to participate, including a day camp, campout and special adventure with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. 🌿🥾

When Girl Scout Maisie saw a need in her community, she found a way to make a difference. 💚

As an athlete, Maisie knew the value of being part of a team, so for her Girl Scout Gold Award, she wanted to help young people experience those benefits by addressing two challenges: access to sports equipment and mental health.

Through her project, Community Closet and Lanyards, Maisie created a local sports closet where young athletes can access donated equipment. She also created mental health lanyards featuring helpful tips and resources, which she shared with her teammates, opposing teams and the middle school athletes she coaches.

And her impact won't end with her Gold Award! 🙌 Management of the sports closet has been handed off, ensuring more young athletes can benefit from Maisie's hard work.

The convening brought together grantees, community partners and leaders from across the region to explore innovative ways to build healthier, more resilient communities. 🌱🤝

✈️💚 Our Girl Scouts are always ready for an adventure!

Troop 51108 recently traveled to Boston for a six-day trip filled with history, culture, sightseeing and fun! From Salem and Harvard to the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, Rhode Island and more, these Girl Scouts made memories they'll never forget. 🗺️⚾🌊

We love seeing Girl Scouts explore new places and experience the world together! 💚
