THERE’S STILL TIME TO GO BEYOND THE PAGE!

Calling all Kanawha County K–12 artists! Your masterpiece could be part of BEYOND THE PAGE: An R.L. Stine Art Exhibition at the West Virginia Book Festival.

Artwork will be juried by local artists Jeff Pierson and Wes Eary, with special 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medallions awarded to our top artists!

Online submissions are due October 19 — so there’s still time to create, imagine, and enter!
📍 In-person submissions are due October 22 at the Kanawha County Public Library Main Library.

HEY, YOUNG ARTISTS… IT’S TIME TO GO BEYOND THE PAGE!

Got a wild imagination? A mysterious creature? A strange and wonderful idea that just needs to escape your sketchbook?

We want to see it!

For the FIRST TIME EVER, young artists in Kanawha County, K–12th grade, are invited to bring their imaginations to life at:

BEYOND THE PAGE: AN R.L. STINE ART EXHIBITION

FestivFALL and the West Virginia Book Festival are teaming up to celebrate the creativity, imagination, and artistic talent of young artists throughout Kanawha County.

And this isn’t just any art show…

Your artwork will be juried by two talented local artists, Jeff Pierson and Wes Eary!

And there’s something special waiting for our top artists:

1st Place • 2nd Place • 3rd Place

Each winner will receive a BEYOND THE PAGE medallion and have their achievement celebrated with the community!

So grab your pencils, paintbrushes, markers, crayons—or whatever you use to make your imagination come to life—and show us what happens when books, imagination, and art collide.

EXHIBITION: Saturday, October 24
LOCATION: West Virginia Book Festival
FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

AWARD CEREMONY: Saturday, October 24 at 3:30 PM
LOCATION: Word Play Stage

CALLING FOR YOUNG KANAWHA COUNTY ARTISTS! ( K - 12th Grade) !

Something exciting is coming to the West Virginia Book Festival, and we want your ART!

For the first time ever, young artists will have the opportunity to take inspiration from the world of R.L. Stine and bring their imaginations to life through art in BEYOND THE PAGE: AN R.L. STINE ART EXHIBITION!

FestivFALL and the West Virginia Book Festival are thrilled to work together to present this first-of-its-kind exhibition, celebrating the creativity, imagination, and talent of young artists throughout Kanawha County. 🎨✨

Open to K–12th grade students in Kanawha County, this juried exhibition gives young artists the chance to display their work, be recognized for their creativity, and share their art with the community.

The People’s Choice ballot box is officially waiting by the pink little ceramic bowl and ready to accept YOUR votes!

Come cast your ballot for your ONE favorite piece of artwork featured in this year’s ART-FOR-FALL exhibition! Our talented artists have worked so hard, and now it’s your chance to help celebrate them by voting for the People’s Choice winner.

We have arranged the grades into two segments for this year's jury:
7th grade - 9th Grade and 10th grade - 12th Grade.
Each segment will be awarded 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place medallions
and, of course the medallion for PEOPLE'S CHOICE !!

🎨 ART-FOR-FALL is here!

We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s artwork will be judged by TWO incredibly talented local artists, Drew Gornik and Scott McMillian! Their creativity, experience, and passion for the arts will help celebrate the amazing talent of our young artists. ✨

🏆 Don't forget we still have the People’s Choice Award!
Voting will be open until Oct 2 at 4pm:
🗳️ Vote in person at our ballot box during the exhibition

PLUS:
• First-place winners from EACH grade level will receive a gift card award
• A People’s Choice winner will also be selected
• BRAND NEW custom medallions have been created especially for this year’s winners! 🏅

🏆 Award winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony on Oct 3 at 11 am at the Capitol Market, and select artwork will also be featured on FestivALL’s social media!
