The Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema is Charleston, West Virginia's nonprofit, independent movie theater - a place to see foreign, local, documentary, and indie films in an intimate setting. Located in the basement of Taylor Books' Annex Gallery, visitors can enter through Taylor Books or through our alley entrance in the alley between Capitol Street and Hale Street. The Floralee shows feature films eac
h month in addition to our special programming through series such as Movies That Matter (issue-oriented films) and WV Wednesdays (films by, about or made in WV). After 30 years of showcasing films in West Virginia, the WVIFF recognized the need for a singular space to screen movies year-round. The Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema is the culmination of that vision and affords the WV International Film Festival the ability to bring audiences an even broader offering of films. If you are interested in partnering with us for a screening or renting the cinema, please check out our rentals page at http://wviff.org/floralee/rentals
