Our LifeBridge AmeriCorps members make an impact that goes far beyond the numbers they report each month. 💙🧡💚

They become familiar faces, listening ears, trusted connections, and a bridge between their communities and the resources, services, and support people need.

Sometimes making an impact looks like connecting someone to housing, food, benefits, or other resources. And sometimes, it’s simply taking the time to sit, listen, and remind someone that they matter.

We’re proud of the relationships our members are building and the many ways they show up for their communities every single day. 🫶

Service is about helping people—but it’s also about connecting with them.

Socktober has started at United Way of Central WV !🧦

🧦 SOCKTOBER IS HERE! 🧦

All October long, United Way Central West Virginia is collecting NEW socks in child through adult sizes!

Through the Equal Footing Shoe Fund, five pairs of socks accompany the new shoes provided to students in need and socks are distributed throughout the year.

💙 Want to help? Donate new socks or host a Socktober collection drive at your workplace, organization or community group!

We love hearing a great story like this! One of the best parts of AmeriCorps service is seeing the real impact our members are making in the lives of people in their communities.

Helping someone navigate the process, connect with resources, and ultimately find stability is what service is all about. 🏠❤️

These moments remind us that behind every number, referral, and resource connection is a real person—and our LifeBridge members are out there every day helping make a difference.

Our awesome LifeBridge AmeriCorps member Luther spent part of a recent service project showing some love to our local heroes—delivering pizza for lunch to local firefighters! 🚒🍕

Sometimes giving back can be as simple as a hot meal and a big THANK YOU to the people who are always there when our community needs them.

This is what service is all about: people helping people, building connections, and showing our community a little extra love. 💙🧡

Seriously, what would LifeBridge even DO without her?! She is the glue that holds everything together, the sunshine in every room, the answer to every problem, and quite possibly the greatest Program Assistant to ever walk the face of the earth. Honestly, we’re just lucky to know her. 😂👑

She deserves ALL the praise, ALL the presents, ALL the cake, and probably a national holiday in her honor. 💙🧡

LifeBridge AmeriCorps members serving at our MU Collegiate Recovery Community site are celebrating Save a Life Day by helping distribute Naloxone and they’ve already given out more than 400 kits today! 🙌

We’re so proud of our members for showing up, serving their community, and helping make lifesaving resources more accessible. 💙🧡
