Iowa Humane Alliance is a Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor area nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ending the animal over-population crisis and eliminating euthanasia of healthy and adoptable pets in Iowa. One of the ways they accomplish this is through the Iowa Humane Alliance Regional Spay/Neuter Clinic which offers high quality, low cost spay and neuter services five days a week for shelter, owned and free roaming animals. Programs Include:

Iowa’s only high-quality, low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter clinic

I-TRAP– provides training on how to humanely trap-neuter-return community cats, discounted spay/neuter, and live, humane trap rentals

Spay Iowa– Referral system for low-cost spay/neuter resources

Love for Pets– Providing low-cost spay/neuter, vaccinations, pet supplies, and microchips for under-served neighborhoods locally

From pet photos to works of heart!

These are just a handful of the portraits our volunteer artists completed at the official kickoff of IHA’s Picture Perfect Pet Portraits fundraiser with Eastern Iowa Arts Academy on Saturday, October 10th.

Thank you to our artists and everyone who submitted their pets’ photos to support affordable spay/neuter care. We can’t wait to see what our remaining artists create—more pet personalities are coming to life on paper!

🐾 Please Return 🐾

If we've loaned you a cat crate or you've rented a live trap from us and are no longer actively trapping, please return it to our clinic as soon as possible. We are running VERY low!

Returning these items, especially our live traps, helps us make them available for other clients and cats who need them.
**If you are in need of renting a live trap, please call ahead to check availability.**

Thank you for helping us keep things moving and for being a part of our mission to care for the animals in our community! ♥

Two dollars and a thoughtful thank-you!

When the pastor at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church gave each young person $2 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice, Ava chose IHA—and shared this colorful drawing featuring her cats!

Thank you for supporting affordable spay/neuter care and visiting our clinic with your grandmother! We loved sharing our work with you, and your artwork brings a little extra joy to our day!

If you attended our Feral Freedom Fest on Saturday and lost a t-shirt you purchased, we have it at the clinic! A good samaritan found it in the parking lot. Feel free to stop out during our regular business hours to pick it up. 🥰
