Thank you to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and GreatAmerica! We appreciate your support and your commitment to our community!

The Community Foundation recently awarded $4.6 million in grants to 352 nonprofit organizations! This includes $408,500 granted from the GreatAmerica Competitive Donor-Advised Fund to 37 local organizations. These awards also include competitive grants from the spring grant cycle, as well as Rapid Response Grants and distributions from donor-advised, designated, scholarship and nonprofit funds. As we wrap up Foster Care Month, we have a wonderful video to share highlighting the impact of our work and the ongoing need for our services in the Cedar Valley.

In a recent joint proclamation, the Mayors of Waterloo and Cedar Falls officially recognized May 2026 as National Foster Care Month. Our very own Michelle Shepard represented Four Oaks at the reading, standing alongside city leadership to advocate for our mission.
