Peace facilitators use restorative practices to help students resolve conflicts and build safer, more positive school communities. This year, 14 Kids First peace facilitators will serve students at 17 Cedar Rapids schools and throughout the community.

Kids First was selected as one of TrueNorth Legacy Foundation's 2026 grant recipients. Thank you to TrueNorth and Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation for your support! This grant will fund our Youth Peace Project, which helps kids resolve conflict restoratively and build safer communities.💙

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉
Kids First Law Center will receive nearly $500k over the next 3 years from the DOJ to expand our restorative justice work to College Community School District and Cedar Rapids Prep! This funding will help middle school students resolve conflicts and stop violence before it starts.
Huge thanks to Senator Chuck Grassley for helping make this happen! 👏👏
