Coe College Sexual Wellness Fair, allowed us the space to share some informative information to students and staff!

Our booth shared expressions of self worth with a "selfie mirror" and literature about Amani Community Services and informative facts along with some swag of treats and gift card to Starbucks!

Thank you Coe College for extending this invitation and for facilitating this amazing fair!

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to help shed light to those in darkness. There are so many struggles minority communities face that are impacting their mental health. It is important to find safe spaces where you can be heard, you don't have to battle this war alone.

Our Q2 Newsletter is hot off the presses and ready for your view. We have some amazing insights to the month of April and the Awareness initiatives we are bringing for both Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention!

Take a look at our community events around our office areas and a survivors story of child sexual abuse, he shares such bravery and resiliency from turning from a victim to a victor.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

We will be hosting a pinwheel garden to support the CPPC initiative. Since 2008 blue pinwheels serves as the national symbol to represent a whimsical childhood, because every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment.

Thank you Linn County CPPC

Trigger Warning!!

Today we collaborated with Riverview Center and TWRG at Cornell College to host "The Clothesline Project" a project developed in 1990 in Cape Code, MA to raise the awareness through a visual display of T-Shirts with emotions shared by artistic expressions for those survivors of violence.

Huge thanks to those at TWRG for these testimonial t-shirts and staff/students at Cornell for helping setup this display for Sexual Assault Awareness Month!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and we want to bring awareness to male sexual assault victims.

At least 1 in 6 men have experienced sexual abuse or assault, whether it was in childhood or as adults. There is the belief that male survivors, especially if abused as a child, will go on to become offenders themselves. This stigma may negatively impact a male survivor's social experiences, and it may also lead male survivors to avoid disclosure.

If the perpetrator is a man, the survivor he may even question his own sexuality, and so this stigma may negatively impact a male survivor's life, which may lead male survivors to avoid disclosure.
