"Learning to talk to officials," "door-knocking," and "building community" are just a few of the reasons students loved this year's Youth Action Collaborative program! We got to hear from this brilliant group of young environmental advocates and Malden Public Schools students at the YAC final showcase last week, where they spoke to family, friends, and community members about their year of learning and advocating for environmental justice in Malden. Congratulations to this year’s cohort--we are so proud of their hard work!

Thank you to State Senator Julian Cyr and Speaker Pro Tempore Rep Kate Hogan for their leadership. Let’s support them and pass the Act to protect MA public health from PFAS this session!

More than a dozen states already ban PFAS in some consumer products. Research has linked the toxic "forever chemicals" to health problems including kidney cancer. But some business groups warn the sweeping Massachusetts proposal could be costly and impractical.

It joined Clean Water Action, Boston Children’s, and today as we urged our Massachusetts state legislators to protect children’s health by passing Toxic Free Kids. Thanks to our wonderful speakers and to all who stopped by to listen, learn, and share their support. Congrats to Youth Leadership Awardee, Kidus Tsige! Are you feeling yourself sliding into climate despair? You need to meet Kidus. A sophomore at Malden High School and an alum of Clean Water Fund’s Youth Action Collaborative, he is being honored for his leadership in the youth climate movement, expanding youth coalitions, rallying young leaders, and lobbying legislators for climate action. Join us to celebrate him on June 11th!

On June 4th, join Boston Children’s Hospital, Clean Water Action, Greater Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility, and a GIANT INFLATABLE DUCK for a press conference and rally! It's time to "get our ducks in a row" and protect children's health by passing Toxic Free Kids! We'll be rallying from 11-11:30am. Come visit the duck all day, and send your legislators a letter urging them to pass the bill. Toxic chemicals don't belong in products for kids!
