Our team is bringing fresh ideas home from the Siemer Institute National Summit in San Antonio! 🌟

Executive Director Evan Stewart, Katie Amidan, and Erin Thompson joined housing and nonprofit leaders from across the country to learn, share, and connect. One highlight was a poverty simulation where participants made monthly choices on a “15 candy budget,” a powerful look at the tradeoffs families make every day. Another was the data on how widespread eviction is: 3.6 million filings a year nationwide, affecting 2.9 million children.

We’re grateful to the Siemer Institute for the opportunity and excited to put what we learned into action for our neighbors.

Our food pantry is running low, and we need your help to fill it back up! 🥫

Jesse Tree’s Food Drive runs October 12 – November 6. Every item donated goes directly to neighbors working to stay housed and stable. When a family is facing an eviction, having food on the table is one less thing to worry about.

Calling Boise-area businesses: become a Toy Drive donation location!

Every December, Jesse Tree partners with local businesses to collect new, unwrapped toys for youth in families facing housing instability. This year's collection runs November 2 – December 4, and we're looking for partners to host a donation bin.

It's simple: set up a bin (or let us drop one off with marketing materials), spread the word to your customers and staff, and we'll coordinate pickup or drop-off. Every toy collected goes straight to a local kid who needs it.

Jesse Tree was proud to table at this year's Hyde Park Street Fair, one of Boise's largest community gatherings, drawing tens of thousands of visitors throughout the weekend.

Our team connected with neighbors across the Treasure Valley to share more about our mission of preventing eviction and homelessness in Ada and Canyon County. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, or learn how to get involved. Community events like these help us build the relationships that strengthen our work every day.

Jesse Tree was honored to attend the Idaho Business Review's Women of the Year ceremony this month as a guest of KeyBank.

Our team tabled at the event during the reception, connecting with other local organizations and leaders across the Treasure Valley. We were especially proud to see Jesse Tree board member Caitlin Copple nominated for this year's award.

Jesse Tree has launched its September Diaper Drive, running now through September 30th.

We are collecting diapers of all sizes to restock our Resource Closet, which our case managers rely on to support families at risk of eviction and homelessness. Diapers are rarely covered by SNAP or other assistance programs, making them a persistent expense for households already managing tight budgets. We welcome donations at our office, located at 1121 W Miller St in Boise, or through our Amazon Wishlist, linked in our bio.
