Mission: To promote and support vibrant, effective community health centers in providing accessible, affordable, and high quality healthcare to all Idahoans. The Idaho Community Health Center Association is the membership association for Idaho's sixteen nonprofit community health centers that serve over 230,000 people at 192 clinic sites across the state. Idaho's health centers provide high quality medical, dental and behavioral health and sliding fee payment is available for those who qualify.

This week, ICHCA had the opportunity to talk about community health centers with some of Idaho's future providers. 🎓

Monica Satake B.S.Ed., MHE and Sandra Bateman from ICHCA joined Boise State University HLTH 356 class to present on Community Health Centers and the career opportunities they offer.

The class sparked great discussion about what makes a community healthy and how health centers are meeting those needs across Idaho. After the presentation, several students stayed for one on one conversations, eager to learn more about careers in community health. Connecting with students early is an important step in building Idaho's future healthcare workforce.
