The College of Western Idaho is seeking a Program Director/Instructor for its Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program.
This position offers the opportunity to educate future OTA practitioners, provide program leadership, build clinical partnerships, and contribute to the continued growth of occupational therapy education in Idaho.
📋 Position Details
Position: Program Director/Instructor – Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
Institution: College of Western Idaho
Status: Full-Time (9-Month Contract)
Salary: $59,000 – $73,445 annually
🎓 Key Responsibilities
• Teach and evaluate OTA coursework
• Mentor and advise students
• Lead and oversee the OTA Program
• Maintain ACOTE accreditation standards
• Coordinate clinical education experiences
• Develop and strengthen clinical partnerships
• Support curriculum development and program growth
• Collaborate with healthcare and community partners
✔ Required Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Idaho OT License
• NBCOT Certification
• Minimum 5 years of clinical OT experience
• Experience supervising and collaborating with OTAs
• Minimum 2 years of full-time postsecondary teaching experience in an OT or OTA program
• Experience with curriculum development and program administration

• AOTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Certification
• Experience with accreditation and program evaluation
• Established network for student clinical placements
• Active involvement in state and national OT organizations
