Since all our neighbors are safe and warm during this storm, UP's warming center will be operating on an as-needed basis for Sunday, 1/25 and Monday, 1/26.

While we want to ensure the safety of our volunteers, we don’t want anyone in the cold!

Please message UP if you need a warm place to be. Our volunteers will work to find a warm place to you, opening our warming center if necessary.

Stay warm, folks, and don't forget to check on your neighbors ❤️

‼️‼️‼️ Emergency Weather Alert from RITI - Please share!

Last night alone, Room In The Inn Berea sheltered 77 guests. Of those, 16 people sought emergency shelter specifically because of the dangerous weather. The cold is brutal, and the worst temperatures are still ahead. To keep people out of the elements, we are currently using 54 rooms across multiple motels. This emergency response is costing RITI approximately $3,000 per night in room costs alone.

Our hearts break that so many people needed shelter last night. No community wants to see numbers like this. But thanks to donors like you, every single person who came to us during this storm had a warm, safe place to sleep.

Here is how you can help right now: $46 provides one motel room for one night, and we are averaging 35–40 rooms every night. Consider donating 1 room ($46), 5 rooms ($230), 10 rooms ($460), or more.

Let us be the community that did not turn people away when they needed shelter most.
