Today on November 28th, in 1881 the Association of Collegiate Alumnae (which was later renamed the American Association of University Women) was founded by Emily Talbot, Marion Talbot and Ellen Richards. Since then the AAUW has led the country in women's empowerment and educational opportunity. We take this day to celebrate the work our sisters of the past have done, but we also know there is still work to be done.

THANK YOU!! Because of your donations and support during this year's AAUW Berea book sale, we were able to get hundreds of books into readers' hands and fund scholarships for young women in our community for their college pursuits. We hope to see you next year!

Do you have gently used books or media that you would love to find a new home? Donate them! AAUW Berea is seeking donations for its annual book sale. Proceeds from the event go toward providing scholarships for women in our community to help them achieve their educational goals. Donations can be dropped off at the Berea College CPO in Woods-Penniman on February 7th between 3 pm and 7pm. We appreciate your donations and hope to see you at the sale!
