There are less than 89 hours left to participate in Cares Month in honor of Mo Anderson’s 89th birthday. You won’t want to miss out on her coaching call, so make sure your Market Center meets the $890 KW Cares Month goal.

Want to know how close you are? Check out the leaderboard to see how close your team is to getting on the list: https://bit.ly/4cRGce5

And remember, if you make a $89 donation to Cares Month, your name will go on the birthday card we're mailing to Mo!

But Cares Month is about more than just raising funds; it’s about
Family Helping Family.

“We are beyond thankful for this community. KW Cares showed up for our family in a way we will never forget. Because of your generosity, we’re stronger today—and we’re already looking forward to the day we can give back the same way you gave to us.” —John, 2025 grant recipient

Cares Month ends at midnight on May 31. No gift is too small. Whether you’re a new agent or a 20-year veteran, we’re all part of the same KW community. KW Cares Month is how you can make a difference for one of your KW family members in need regardless of where they live.

There are 9 more days for your Market Center to raise $890 or more in honor of Mo Anderson’s 89th birthday and her example of giving, caring, and sharing. When you do, everyone will win team-wide access to an exclusive call with the lady herself! Plus the Market Center that raises the most money will get a visit from Mo in-person!

We’re all part of the same community, and KW Cares Month is an opportunity to extend a helping hand to those who are hurting. A few of the stories that have moved us recently are:

❤️‍🩹 Danielle, who suffered a toxin-related brain injury after mold was found in her new home. Her homeowner’s insurance doesn’t cover mold damage, and her inspector’s Errors & Omissions policy doesn’t include mold coverage.

❤️‍🩹 Laura & Don, who were unable to work while both battling cancer at the same time. Laura has to travel out of state for treatment, and Don was diagnosed less than a year ago.

❤️‍🩹 Jennifer, whose home suffered a devastating fire when her critically ill partner's oxygen tanks ignited, destroying their home and everything they owned.

❤️‍🩹 Jessica, who had to travel across the country for spinal surgery after doctors were unable to find the source of an infection for more than 18 months.

KW Cares is proud to serve thousands of KW associates—and we’ve been at it for over 20 years. So far, we’ve given grants to more than 7,500 people, each with their own unique story. Your giving during Cares Month provides for all the stories yet to come. You can give here: https://bit.ly/4cRGce5

Hi there, it’s Chad, back for part two of the day that changed my life–the Easter Sunday that I almost bled to death.

I cut 2/3 of the way through my arm with a table saw while working at a remote cabin. My phone and keys were 16 feet up on scaffolding inside the house. I passed out twice, and when I came to the second time, it was dark. I truly thought I was dead until the pain came roaring back.

In that moment, I felt so alone, like not even God was with me. I prayed, “Okay Lord, you either help me, or you take me, but I’m done doing this.” And I swear to you, the pain melted away. I was somehow able to drag a ladder over, climb up to get my keys, and start the 90-minute drive to the ER.

By the time I got there, I’d lost 20% of my blood volume. The doctors told me it was a miracle I was alive, and I believe every word of it.

That’s why I’m so proud to be a Cares Month Champion. KW Cares helped pull me out of a hole in one of the worst times of my life. What they offer is so much more than just financial help. It’s the knowledge that a whole company of people has your back and they care about you, even if they’ve never met you.

In the spirit of KW Cares Month, this May I’m asking you to take the “Give, Care, Share Challenge.” Since my accident, I’ve realized how important it is that we all “be the change we want to see in the world.” Whether that looks like random acts of kindness or organizing a major event, we want to see what you’re doing this May. Share here on social with , and when you post, tag three friends to keep the wave of caring growing in your community! We'll be sharing posts all month long, so I hope to see you on my feed!

I first heard about KW Cares after I almost cut my arm off.

Hi, my name’s Chad, and I was working at a cabin in the Montana mountains when I had a freak accident with a table saw. Have you ever had one of those moments where everything happens in slow motion—it was like that. I just couldn’t move fast enough.

My first thought was, “It’s Easter Sunday, it’s 6:30 at night... no one’s coming,” quickly followed by, “My phone and my keys are in my hoodie 16 feet up on scaffolding inside the cabin...I’m never going to talk to my kids again.”

When KW Cares asked if I’d be their “Cares Month Champion” and share my story, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough. Not because I’m special, or because it’s an honor (even though it is), but because I never should’ve made it off the floor of that cabin, and I want to use my second chance to tell people about the difference this organization made in my life.

Today I’m asking you to make a gift to Cares Month, to help the next guy like me, the next family with a child fighting cancer, the next woman that needs help leaving a dangerous situation, or the next grieving spouse surprised by funeral costs.

I haven’t been with KW nearly as long as some of you, so I was bowled over to find that this company means it when they say “family helping family.” It’s through the grace of God that I’m talking to you today, and it’s thanks to KW Cares that I was able to rebuild my life after such a serious medical disaster. Mo Anderson, a true KW legend, our board chair, and the one who officially launched KW Cares, celebrates her 89th birthday in May. In her honor, May is KW Cares Month!

23 years later, $68 million in financial assistance has been awarded to members of our KW community facing sudden emergencies. And that’s because of one driving belief: “In the end, it’s about the higher purpose of business: to give, care, and share. It’s what we do at Keller Williams.” —Mo Anderson

In honor of Mo, during the month of May we give, we care, we share. ❤️

And Mo herself is giving back to YOU this month! 🎁 When your Market Center reaches $890+ in giving on their Cares Month page, Mo will share her years of wisdom on a team-wide coaching call! Here’s how to make that happen:
❣️Look up your Market Center’s page: Use “Find a Fundraiser” to search the Cares Month campaign for your Market Center’s unique fundraising page.
❣️Give a gift to support the KW Family and help meet your goal.
❣️Share your team’s page with everyone in your network. They don’t have to be a part of KW to donate and help you win!

When the world feels unpredictable, our commitment to each other becomes even more important. We are grateful that we can count on you to protect, support, and uplift KW associates in times of crisis. Go here to find your Market Center: https://bit.ly/4cRGce5

Our very own Vice President of Development, Rachel Elder, CFRE, CFRM, was named Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year for The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Austin! We couldn't be more proud.

We are reminded how fortunate the KW Family is to have Rachel as part of the team propelling each of us into deeper generosity, keeping that beacon of care that KW is known for shining brightly to guide us all. Thank you, Rachel, for all you do. ❤️

Rachel had this to say about the incredible honor:
"For me, this work has always been about community. It’s about showing up for one another when it matters, and I’m grateful every day to do work that connects generosity with real impact.

I'm grateful for the leadership, trust, and constant encouragement to grow and push further from my mentors at Beacon Nonprofit Consulting, my team at KW Cares and the KW Community.

Thank you, AFP for making a difference for nonprofits and investing in our profession. I’m so proud to be part of this work with all of you.
Truly grateful. 🤍"
