We Love Austin Music Week celebrates Austin’s rich musical heritage and culture while building students’ interest in and awareness of music as an art form. 🎶

Texas Women for the Arts (TWA) Grants are now open! 🎨

Together, TWA members have funded 455 grants totaling more than $5 million, expanding access to the arts for nearly 4 million children across Texas. ❤️ Scroll to see photos from some of our 2026 TWA Grant Recipients and how they are using their grant funding to support the arts in their communities.

This week we’ve been celebrating National Arts in Education Week, September 13–19! 🎨📚

At Texas Cultural Trust, we’re proud to support programs that expand access to the arts and create meaningful opportunities for Texas children.

One way we do this is through our Arts Inspire Grants, which help address financial barriers for Title I campuses and give students the opportunity to engage with professional artists and experience the arts from a new perspective. 🎭🎶

Every student deserves access to the transformative power of the arts, and we’re committed to helping make that possible.

We mourn the loss of Texas Medal of Arts Awards Honoree, Frank Beard, legendary drummer and percussionist of ZZ Top. 🤍

For decades, Beard helped define the unmistakable sound and style of one of Texas’ most iconic musical exports. ZZ Top’s influence extended far beyond music. In 1986, the band was named “Official Texas Heroes” by the Texas House of Representatives, and Governor Ann Richards declared May 4, 1991, ZZ Top Day. In 2004, ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Frank Beard’s talent, musicianship and contributions to Texas music will be remembered for generations to come.
