Learn how to grow these amazing plants in your home, on a windowsill, or your very own greenhouse. Interests of our members vary widely. Some grow "just for fun", while others grow one or two orchids and simply love looking at the wide array of plants. Some study the botanical aspects of the more than 35,000 species. Some are serious hybridizers, while others study the various trends of hybridization. Others are both scholars of orchids and dedicated to improving the quality of cultivated orchids as American Orchid Society Judges. Joining an orchid society brings you in contact with people from a wide range of backgrounds, with a common interest in orchids. Membership in this society is open to anyone interested in growing orchids, with a willingness to exhibit and to further the general interest purposes under consideration by the society to perform literary or committee duties. Annual dues are $30.00 per individual ($2.00/month prorated after January 31st for new members), $45.00 for two at the same address. You will be given our membership directory with a list of members, the current slate of officers and committee chairpersons and the Society By-Laws.
