LIVESTRONG Which everyday cancer problem will we fix today? Livestrong does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our page.

We have a Mission Question, not a Mission Statement, because we believe that we can only achieve the best solutions through asking the right questions. We ask survivors and caregivers what they need, we ask the system how it can be more person-centered, we ask innovators how we can bring impossible ideas to life. While we encourage fans to share thoughts and opinions on the Livestrong Facebook pag

e, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profile. Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:

• Hate speech
• Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
• Defamation to a person or people
• Name calling and/or personal attacks
• Spam
• Other messages that Livestrong deems inappropriate

What started as a Zumba class turned into something much bigger. 💛

The team at Mystic Valley YMCA brought their community together for a high-energy Zumbathon that raised funds to support cancer survivors through Livestrong at the YMCA.

Nearly 60 people showed up ready to dance, sweat, laugh, and give back, proving that community support can look a lot like joy.

Programs like Livestrong at the YMCA help cancer survivors rebuild strength, confidence, and connection after treatment. And events like this help make that possible for more people.

Thank you to everyone at Mystic Valley YMCA for turning movement into momentum for survivors.

“This is the hero that I’m riding for.”

For many riders, the 9/11 Ride for Resilience is personal.

Jeff Giordano was an FDNY firefighter assigned to Ladder 3. On September 11, 2001, he and 11 of his brothers made the ultimate sacrifice.

Years later, his impact still lives on through the people he inspired, mentored, and served beside.

This ride honors not only those we lost on 9/11, but also the first responders who continue to battle 9/11-related illnesses to this day.

343 miles.
One mission.
Never forget.

48 Greater Austin teachers have already asked for a copy of My Brave Friend: Emma and Noah Face Cancer Together for their classrooms before students return this fall. 📚💛

Because while school may be out for summer, cancer doesn’t take a break.

Some children will spend this summer watching a parent, sibling, grandparent, or loved one go through cancer treatment. They’ll head back to school carrying fear, confusion, and questions they may not know how to ask.

Teachers are asking for help now so they can be ready when those students walk through their classroom doors.

For just $30, you can donate a book to a local elementary school and include a personalized dedication nameplate inside.

The requests are already here. We just need the funding to fulfill them.

Comment BRAVE and we’ll send you the link to donate a book or request one for a classroom.

Over the years, Livestrong's mission has evolved because the needs of survivors have evolved, too.

In this clip from the CEOs You Should Know podcast with iHeartRadio Suzanne Stone shares how Livestrong continues to grow beyond awareness by focusing on the real, everyday challenges people face during and after cancer: navigation, fertility, mental health, physical activity, trusted information, and survivorship support.

The mission hasn’t changed. The impact has expanded.

Austin friends, this one is for you!

This Saturday, May 16th, we will be at the Austin Public Library Greater Austin Book Fest, signing copies of My Brave Friend, our children's book that helps kids understand what it means when someone they love has cancer.

If you know a child whose classmate, sibling, or parent is facing a diagnosis, this book was written for them. It gives children the words to show up, to ask questions, and to be the kind of friend that makes an impossible time a little more bearable.

Come find us on the 3rd Floor Youth and Family Atrium, grab a signed copy, take a selfie with our life-sized Noah & Emma, and explore a full day of authors, panels, and programs.

📅 Saturday, May 16
⏰ 10am to 5pm
📍 Austin Central Library, 710 W. César Chávez Street

Fertility decisions often have to happen even faster.
In this clip from the CEOs You Should Know podcast with iHeartRadio, Suzanne Stone talks about one of the conversations too many people don’t realize they need to have before treatment begins: fertility preservation.

In a world full of misinformation, cancer survivors and families deserve a source they can actually trust.

Our CEO, Suzanne Stone, recently joined the CEOs You Should Know podcast with iHeartRadio to talk about how Livestrong helps people navigate cancer with trusted information, real support, and resources grounded in science — not fear, confusion, or noise online.

Because when someone hears the words “you have cancer,” they shouldn’t have to guess what information is real.
