For over four decades, we've grown alongside Central Texas. And through every change, our neighbors have always remained at the heart of what we do. 💚

As our communities have grown and needs have evolved, so has our work. Today, we go beyond providing just food. We’re helping neighbors connect with resources, build new skills, and find opportunities for greater stability, while bringing people and organizations together to strengthen the systems that help increase food access.

From our bright trucks and refreshed signs to our new Waco facility and redesigned website, there's a lot that looks different about the Central Texas Food Bank these days. But one thing that hasn't changed? Our commitment to making nutritious food more accessible to our neighbors.

Our refreshed look reflects who we are today and the work we're continuing to build together. And our redesigned website makes it easier to find food and resources, learn about our programs and discover ways to get involved.

We couldn’t think of a better way to close out Hunger Action Month than with people who believe deeply in our mission. 🧡

Last night, supporters gathered in our sold-out “Changing of Seasons” Garden Dinner thanks to the generosity of Contigo Catering who made the evening possible.

Our CEO, Sari Vatske shared information about where our work is headed and, more importantly, why it matters. The need for food assistance in Central Texas is significant, and as our communities grow and evolve, so must our response.

Hunger Action Month may be over, but our commitment to our neighbors continues every day of the year. We’re grateful to have so many of you with us. 🧡

This is what it means to be a Food Banker. 💚

It takes a lot of hands to bring a mobile pantry to life. Last week, when one of our sites needed a few extra, we sent out the call — and this crew showed up!

That’s food banking. When our neighbors need us, we show up — no matter what team we’re on or what our day job looks like.

One team, pitching in wherever we can. And always glad to serve our neighbors.

Want to join us? Our mobile pantries happen throughout Central Texas, and volunteers help make them possible. Sign up for a shift and serve alongside us! https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/get-involved/volunteer

What happens when some of Austin’s best culinary talent gets their hands on a Whataburger classic? We’re about to find out.

On October 15, Whatanight is coming to the Central Texas Food Bank. Presented by Whataburger and led by Chef Philip Speer of Comedor and Garage Pizza, the evening brings together a hand-selected group of chefs with one challenge: Take a Whataburger favorite and make it entirely their own.

The result? A menu you won’t find at the drive-thru, paired with a hosted bar, Hill Country w**e tastings and a behind-the-scenes look at CTFB.

And while the night is built around great food, it also supports our mission to increase food access in Central Texas.

Come hungry. Leave full and thinking, “Man, what a night.”

Tickets are on sale now. Learn more and get yours at https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/events/whatanight
