Texas Network of Youth Services Their Future is Our Business. Our work is guided by a comprehensive systems change approach that includes policy, practice, and participation.

We advocate for funding, policies, and programs that benefit youth who are struggling, their families, and the organizations that serve them. Our professional and program development services ensure that those in the field are fully equipped to meet the complex needs of the youth and families they serve. And we challenge false perceptions of young people by working in partnership with youth to demonstrate what they are capable of when people invest in them.

After working with hundreds of youth, young adults, and providers in the Texas Panhandle, TNOYS was excited to travel to Amarillo last week for valuable meetings with Senator Kevin Sparks and Representative Caroline Fairly. Together with local members and partners such as Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and Amarillo Children's Home, TNOYS shared policy recommendations to help young people in the Texas Panhandle tap into career and education opportunities and successfully transition to adulthood.

Thank you to Amarillo Area Foundation for making this effort possible, to our partners and members, and to Senator Kevin Sparks and Caroline Fairly for Texas for thoughtful conversations on helping young people in rural communities to thrive.

October is a time to listen, learn, and amplify young people’s voices. We’re recognizing Foster Youth Voice Month and National Youth Justice Awareness Month by highlighting the experiences, perspectives, and leadership of youth and young adults who have navigated foster care and the juvenile justice system.

Throughout the month, stay tuned for stories, resources, and conversations that center youth voice, raise awareness, and inspire meaningful action.
