A year ago, it was just an idea: bring the Xealots community to Plywood.

This weekend, we got to see it in action.

A room full of misfits (the best kind) gathered at Plywood, a place where founders launch, build, and scale game-changing ventures. The symbiosis was palpable, and it was a reminder that we’re headed in the right direction: activating the full potential of the leader and the venture they’re building.

We’re going all in on people. This isn’t new.

Tuesday night, Plywood Studio officially came to life — and honestly, the energy in that room said everything our pitch decks couldn’t. Builders meeting builders. Advisors leaning in. Ideas getting sharper in real time.

This is what we mean when we say Plywood is a bridge between talent and access — not a metaphor, an actual room full of people ready to help you build. A studio for launching what’s next. Potential, activated.

We’re all connected somehow but most of the time, we don’t see it until we’re willing to share something real about ourselves.

At Plywood Connects, we asked a simple question:
What’s something you’re involved in that people might not guess or something uniquely you?

Then we invited people to take a piece of red string and connect their story to someone else’s.

What happened next was a reminder that the things that make us feel different are often the very things that bring us together. Threads crossed the roomlinking passions, experiences, and stories that might’ve never surfaced otherwise.

Connection doesn’t just happen. It starts with honesty, curiosity, and a willingness to be seen.
