**A CALL FOR JUSTICE AND A FORMAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE DEATH OF IRFAN AL-HUSSAINI**
We are deeply saddened by the untimely death of **Irfan Al-Hussaini**, a recent Georgia Tech alumnus and a valued member of the Bangladesh Students Association at Georgia Tech. Irfan was remembered by friends and community members as an exceptionally kind, generous, and selfless person who consistently supported those around him.
At present, serious questions remain unanswered regarding the circumstances surrounding his death. Accounts shared by his friends, colleagues, and community members describe a concerning timeline involving his final workplace communications, the reported time at which he was found unconscious, and the timing of the emergency call. Additional accounts concerning his personal circumstances before his death have further intensified the community’s concerns.
Despite the gravity of these concerns, Irfan’s family, friends, and community have not received a clear and comprehensive official explanation of what happened. The absence of transparent information has created uncertainty, distress, and a growing fear that relevant circumstances may not have been fully examined.
We therefore respectfully but firmly call upon the appropriate law-enforcement authorities to:
• Conduct a thorough, impartial, and formal investigation into every circumstance surrounding Irfan’s death.
• Examine the complete timeline, including his communications, the discovery of his condition, and the timing of the emergency response.
• Preserve and review all relevant physical, digital, medical, and witness evidence.
• Interview all individuals who may possess firsthand information.
• Provide Irfan’s immediate family with appropriate and timely information regarding the status of the investigation.
• Release an official public statement, to the extent permitted by law, clarifying whether the matter is being actively investigated.
This appeal is not a declaration of anyone’s guilt. Determining responsibility is the duty of qualified investigators and the justice system. However, allegations and unresolved inconsistencies of this seriousness must not be ignored, dismissed, or decided through speculation on social media.
We ask the public to refrain from harassment, threats, or the circulation of unverified claims. Anyone possessing genuine evidence, firsthand knowledge, relevant communications, photographs, recordings, or other information should preserve it and submit it directly to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.
Irfan can no longer speak for himself. His family and loved ones deserve the truth, and every person deserves dignity, transparency, and justice in death.
We will continue to call peacefully and responsibly for a complete investigation until the circumstances of Irfan’s death are properly addressed.
