National Apprenticeship Week is almost here!

April 26-May 2 marks a nationwide celebration of Registered Apprenticeships and their critical role in connecting skilled talent with employer demand.

CareerRise is proud to issue a proclamation recognizing this week and reaffirming our commitment to advancing apprenticeship as a cornerstone of metro Atlanta's talent development strategy.

Through our Industry Partnerships initiative with WorkSource Metro Atlanta, we work alongside employers, educators, and workforce providers to design and scale apprenticeship pathways in high-demand sectors across our region.

Apprenticeships create proven win-win solutions: employers build skilled talent pipelines and improve retention, while individuals gain paid hands-on training, progressive wages, and nationally recognized credentials.

Join us in celebrating the apprentices, employers, and partners who are strengthening our regional economy through earn-and-learn pathways.

Nobody grows up wanting to be a surgical technician. Not because it's not a great career, but because most people have simply never heard of it. It pays well, it's stable, it's work that matters, and yet it barely comes up when students are thinking about their options.

There are a lot of jobs like that. Across healthcare, skilled trades, logistics, technology and other industries, there are roles with strong wages and clear growth paths that never make it onto a young person's radar. The jobs exist but the awareness doesn't.

CareerRise works with employers across Metro Atlanta connecting them with students and job seekers before those students have already written off what's possible for them. But we can't name every job. That's where you come in.

Employers: what's a specific role in your organization that would surprise most people, whether because of what it pays, what the work actually involves, or how much room there is to grow? Drop it in the comments. You might change someone's direction.

We hear this one constantly. When we talk with young people across Metro Atlanta about entering the workforce, this question comes up again and again. Catch-22 is real. It's often the first wall they hit, and although they are motivated and show up, they just don't have a clear way in yet.

Apprenticeships, internships, and work-based learning placements are how that wall comes down. They are also how organizations build a talent pipeline that actually works for them long-term.

CareerRise works with employers across Metro Atlanta to design and fill these opportunities. We handle the logistics so you can focus on what matters, bringing in people worth investing in.

Employers: how does your organization answer this question? We'd love to hear from you in the comments. And if you're ready to get connected, reach out to us!

This International Women's Day, we're reflecting on what it means to give, and what grows from it. 🌱 At CareerRise, the women on our team show up every day to connect people with real opportunities, build stronger employer partnerships, and invest in the kind of workforce development that creates lasting change in metro Atlanta. They give their time, their expertise, and their care - and in return, our community gains.

To every woman who has walked through our programs, partnered with us, and worked alongside us: thank you.
