When opportunity is limited, I create it. I am Samantha Bailey, your driven Contestant #14 ❄️

As a biology pre-med student and founder of Ladies of Vision and Empowerment (L.O.V.E.), 🫶🏼 My mission is simple: to turn barriers into bridges. I’ve dedicated myself to service, mentorship, and creating spaces where women and children feel seen, supported, and equipped to succeed✨

As Georgia State University’s #1 Volunteer of the Year 🏆 with over 250+ hours of community service this academic year alone, I don’t just speak about impact—I live it!

Because this title is not just a crown, it is a responsibility. And I am prepared to use it to expand access, uplift others, and lead with purpose 🩵🐝

Contestant #13 ❄️ Gabrielle Culberson

I didn’t come to melt… I came to freeze the entire competition 🥶✨
Floating in like I just stepped off Cloud 9, I bring icy elegance, bold confidence, and just the right amount of attitude 💅🏽❄️

Every step? Precision.
Every look? A snowstorm of beauty.
Every moment? Unforgettable.

I’m cool under pressure, colder than your favorite winter breeze, and leaving a trail of chills everywhere I go 🌨️
So don’t blink—because #13 isn’t just competing… I’m taking over the forecast

But beyond the sparkle and frost is a purpose that speaks louder than any crown 👑✨
I proudly represent my platform, “Voice for the Voiceless,”—an advocacy dedicated to providing resources, awareness, and support to minorities who lack legal representation. Because everyone deserves to be heard, protected, and empowered, no matter their circumstances.

I’m not just bringing the cold… I’m bringing change. ❄️

Mark your calendars and bundle up, because the temperature is about to drop ⬇️

True queens aren’t defined by the crown they wear…
but by the storms they survived to earn it ✨

I am your high-gliding, slope-owning, unforgettable Contestant #12, Kyla Tamera Downer ⛷️

As someone who has personally battled self harm,
I know what it feels like to be at your lowest,
when pain feels louder than purpose.

But I also know there is a better way to heal.

That is why my platform, Marked to Mended, is dedicated to helping college students find healthier coping mechanisms, gain access to therapy, and be reminded that healing is not a luxury, it is a necessity 🤍

This is not just advocacy, this is lived experience turned into purpose.

There is only one peak on this here slope,
and your Contestant #12 is skiing straight to Cloud 1906☁️❄️

A queen builds more than a title; she builds futures, and she beings by crafting her own.  💋

With elegance in my presence and intention in every step, I am Eden S. Powell, your ice-cold Miss Old Black & Gold Contestant #11.  🤍

As someone who believes deeply in the power of knowledge and opportunity, I recognize that access to education can transform lives. Yet so many students are left without the resources and support they need to truly succeed.

That’s why my platform, Elevate Through Education 📚, is dedicated to empowering students through literacy ensuring access to resources and encouragement for students to reach their fullest potential.

I believe when we invest in education, we don’t just change individuals—we uplift communities and shape futures.

This journey is about more than a crown for me—it’s the purpose, impact, and leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the stage.
Join me, your contestant #11 on April 19 at 4:06pm as I take the stage, ready to lead, inspire, and elevate.👑

Welcome to Cloud 1906☁️✨ where purpose rises and queens are made.

From Fort Valley, GA to the heart of Atlanta, I’m Jeniah Simmons, a senior graduating with my Bachelor’s in Integrated Health Science, turning dreams into impact.

My mission goes far beyond the stage. Through my platform, Maternity Matters, I am committed to shedding light on the crisis affecting Black and minority women in maternal health. Too many lives are being lost to preventable causes, and it’s time we speak up, stand firm, and demand better care for our mothers, our families, and our communities.

I believe real queens don’t just wear crowns, they create change, uplift others, and lead with intention.

This city deserves a queen who embodies passion, purpose, and power… and I’m ready to elevate to new heights.

Keep your eyes on Contestant #9 👑🖤💛

Eyes on the summit, purpose in every step.

I’m your undeniable Contestant #8,  Justine Baird carving my own path above the clouds ☁️💫

A chilling statistic reveals that less than one percent of philanthropic funding is allocated to Black women and girls, meaning our brilliance too often goes uninvested.

Through my platform, the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium, I educate women on grant writing and fundraising tools to finance their dreams and uplift their communities.

One climb at a time, watch as I take the crown.

With courage in my heart and purpose in my stride, I am Tunnie Ree Cato stepping into this journey with a mission rooted in truth, healing, and hope.

My platform, “Beyond the Shadows,” is born from my own experience as a domestic violence survivor. For years, I navigated silence, fear, and uncertainty but I refused to let my story end there. Today, I stand as a voice for those still finding theirs, committed to bringing visibility, support, and compassion to survivors who deserve to be seen.

My advocacy is grounded in breaking stigma, creating safe spaces, and reminding women that there is life, strength, and power beyond what tried to break them. I am here to shine a light where darkness once lived.

As I take this journey, I’m not just stepping onto a stage I’m stepping into purpose. I am ready to hold the crown as the next Miss Old Gold and Black, carrying the stories of survivors with me and leading with authenticity, resilience, and faith.
