As we step into this new year, Heart Attack Ethiopia Inc sends heartfelt wishes of peace, health, and joy to our beloved community in Ethiopia and to our friends and supporters around the world.

The New Year is a season of renewal and hope — a time to look back with gratitude and forward with courage and faith. For us, it’s also a moment to reflect on the lives touched, healed, and uplifted through our shared mission.

💖 In the past year, thanks to our partners, volunteers, and donors, we have:
• Delivered life-saving care once thought out of reach.
• United doctors, nurses, and surgeons from across the globe to serve side by side with local teams.
• Laid sustainable training pathways for the next generation of Ethiopian healthcare professionals.

Every restored heartbeat, every family reunited, every young trainee inspired — these are the miracles you made possible.

On this Labor Day, Heart Attack Ethiopia Inc takes a moment to honor the hardworking men and women who build communities, strengthen nations, and move us all forward safely.

Coming off the heels of Mission Trip #4, we are especially mindful of the extraordinary labor of love we’ve witnessed:

👩🏾‍⚕️👨🏾‍⚕️ Medical volunteers giving 12–14 hour days in the operating rooms.

🤝 Local nurses, perfusionists, and technicians working tirelessly to support patient care.

✈️ Logistics teams and partners ensuring supplies and transportation arrived against all odds.

Labor is not only about work — it is about service, sacrifice, and the hope of leaving the world better than we found it.

Today, we celebrate you — the hands, hearts, and voices shaping a healthier, safer, more compassionate future. 💙

THANK YOU — To Every Heart Behind the Mission ❤️

As Mission #4 for Heart Attack Ethiopia Inc comes to a close, we pause to give our deepest thanks to the hundreds of hands and hearts that made it possible.

Over the past two weeks, 165 life-saving procedures — including pediatric and adult surgeries, TAVRs, stent placements, ablations, and pacemaker implants — were performed across three hospitals. But behind every successful operation was a massive team of volunteers, nurses, logisticians, suppliers, and supporters working tirelessly on the frontlines and behind the scenes.

As Tesfaye Telila and Dr. Nish Patel reflected:

“This kind of mission doesn’t happen without the big hearts behind it. Volunteers worked 12–14 hour days, not only performing procedures but also handling logistics, organizing over $2 million in donated medical supplies, and making sure everything was ready — every day.”

To our 33 medical volunteers, your commitment was felt in every ward and operating room. From packing supplies in Atlanta for five weeks, to managing daily inventory in Addis, to performing complex surgeries, your dedication saved lives.

Special thanks to:

Jack & Libby Carlson – your home became a warehouse and your hearts fueled our mission.

Virginia Burrell – even on maternity leave, you led our supply applications and coordination.

Jon & Leah Keith, Roxanne, Leslie, Mary McFarland – your organization and surgical prep made this possible.

Dr. TaRessa Wills – for your amazing team organization skills that kept everything running smoothly.

Jon-Alan Manning – for your consistency, support, and presence on every mission.

Ethiopian Airlines, for transporting over 125 oversized bags and prior air cargo shipments.

The Ethiopian Ministry of Health, for facilitating the clearance and flow of life-saving materials.

The local teams at Cardiac Center Ethiopia, Black Lion Hospital, and St. Peter's Hospital — your partnership and resilience are the backbone of this mission.
