🌎 Earth Day isn’t just for April!

Join SCT for our Beyond Earth Day: Community Conservation Workday and help care for the natural spaces that make our community special. Volunteers will assist with trail cleanup, habitat improvement, litter removal, boardwalk maintenance, and other hands-on conservation projects across local nature areas.
Whether you prefer light activity or are ready to tackle more moderate outdoor projects, there’s a place for everyone to help make an impact.

*Recommended for adults 18+ or ages 13+ when accompanied by a legal guardian

🎉 New Sign, Same Great Preserve!
Thanks to the generous support of the Rotary Club of Peachtree City , the Nesmith Preserve now has a brand-new entrance sign! This addition highlights the Rotary’s long-standing commitment to the preserve since 2014 and honors the NeSmith family’s 2006 donation. We’re proud to continue protecting this treasured community resource for local schools, families, and nature lovers.

On Saturday, we had a great day out at NeSmith Preserve! 🌿

A huge thank-you to the Starr’s Mill High School students who volunteered their Saturday to help us mulch the trail — it was much needed and made such a difference! 👏

We’re excited to share that this is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, we’ll be making even more enhancements to the preserve thanks to a generous grant from the Peachtree City Rotary Club.

We are currently collecting bags of fresh grass clippings for our composting program. Please ensure the clippings are free of herbicides, insecticides, or other chemicals.

Bags may be dropped off at our Annex Location porch (next to the Purple Glass Recycling Bin):
