If education is truly vital for societal progress, why do we persistently underfund teachers' salaries, undervalue our students' potential, and neglect investments in school facilities? Considering that education influences everything from international relations and economic policies to technological innovation, what steps are necessary for us to treat the next generation as civilization's most valuable resource? As we face increasing societal divisions, climate change, and ecological challenges, it is imperative that we commit to substantial reforms and increased funding to shape a more equitable and sustainable future.

First, let me start with this: the claim that “Black literacy rates were higher after slavery than they are now" is highly questionable and requires careful examination. Historically, during and immediately following slavery, literacy rates among Black Americans were extremely low due to systemic restrictions and widespread illiteracy. The assertion that they were higher after slavery than today lacks substantial evidence and overlooks the significant progress made over the years. The alarm has been sounded, and we must respond proactively. Parents, teachers, mentors—this is a fight we cannot afford to lose.

Literacy is the foundation for critical thinking, economic opportunity, and social mobility. Ensuring our community and all communities achieve and maintain high literacy standards is essential for a thriving, equitable society. I invite you to share your thoughts on this topic. The Architecture of Economic Liberation. 🏛️📈
We cannot protest our way out of an asset deficit. We must engineer our way out.

The statistics are sobering: the wealth gap between the median households in America remains massive. This gap drives every single systemic bottleneck our community faces—from housing costs and lack of capital access to educational disparity.

But the tide is turning. The New Tenth is rising. Business asset ownership within our community has more than doubled over the last few years. The wealth is being generated—now it must be institutionalized.
