FEAST Asheville

FEAST Asheville Hands on cooking and garden education where every child can grow, harvest and prepare healthy food Fresh Easy Affordable Sustainable Tasty.

FEAST aims to increase the number of students in Western North Carolina who grow, prepare and eat fresh produce as a part of their daily lives. Increasing exposure to gardening and cooking, alongside our hands-on learning experiences connected to the Common Core Standards, will not only allow for increased academic learning but can foster a connection between school, home environment and personal

nutrition. Our students develop improved critical thinking skills and carry the knowledge of growing and eating healthy foods with them throughout their lives. Grant support for this program comes from The United Way of ABC, The Community Foundation of WNC, Dogwood Health Trust, Master Gardner's, and more

FEAST students have been planting seeds and our Pearson Garden is literally overflowing with beautiful plants we are growing out for your gardens! Please plan to support our programs by coming to one (or all!) of our plant sales this spring! All of the funds we raise through these plant sales support our FEAST school gardens and our Pearson Food Hub where we grow fresh food for distribution. We REALLY love helping you grow more food by starting these seeds for you!

Stay tuned for volunteer opportunities for all of these plant sales! If you would like to donate divisions or extra starts from your garden, please contact [email protected]
