SeekHealing

SeekHealing Social health nonprofit✨making experiences of human connection accessible for all.

Behind the opioid overdose epidemic is a much greater loneliness epidemic: an increasing lack of meaningful connection in society, and the trauma that goes hand-in-hand with isolation. In a new approach to the epidemic, SeekHealing addresses the social drivers of addiction. We help each other experience real human connection and we provide free access to holistic healing services.

A space to connect, listen, and be fully seen. 🤎

Next Saturday (June 27) from 10am–12pm in Asheville, SeekHealing is hosting a Connection Practice meeting exclusively for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and People of Color.

This healing-centered space is rooted in safety, respect, cultural understanding, and shared lived experience. Through guided conversation and mindful listening, we’ll explore what authentic connection can feel like, and how it can support healing, resilience, and belonging.

Connection Practice meetings are open to people navigating trauma, addiction, loneliness, life transitions, or simply wanting a space to get real with others.

The Trevor Project’s findings show that LGBTQ+ young people are already reaching for support in so many ways, through therapy, peer support, online communities, and crisis services.

What gets in the way is not who they are! In fact, it’s stigma, discrimination, cost, fear of mistreatment, and the struggle to find care that truly affirms them.

Connection is impossible without authenticity. Loneliness will persist as long as we keep ourselves quiet, try to fit in, make that one thing we do a bit more palatable for the world, or choose to wear the thing that will draw less attention.

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the power of being seen, supported, and connected. 🌈

Pride reminds us that community can be life-giving. That joy is resistance. That belonging is something we can build together.
