We will once again be hosting Puppet Paradise here in Asheville, NC! The Puppeteers of America: Southeast Regional Festival.
You can attend at various levels and some packages will include affordable rates including your room and meals!
Anyone can register and attend no matter your level of experience!!!!
CALL FOR ARTISTS:
We are looking for amazing and diverse puppetry performances! Full Length Theatrical Puppet Shows (45-1hr), Short Form Slam Pieces (3-7mins), workshop leaders, and film submissions (MAX 10 min) APPLY NOW. Applications Due by April 30th.

I'm real excited about this one. We often don't do too many of the story songs live because we want to keep things HYPE, but nothing is more hype than the TYKE-ADELIC multidimensional mind melding show we're about to bring to life! Tell a friend to tell a friend! Run up to random kids at playgrounds and grab them and bring them to the show! That can't go wrong, right?!

🏆 Award Winner brings us “The Fibers in the Air Breathed Life” a
phantasmagorical musical theater production that blends psych-folk with stop motion, puppetry, dance and mythic story telling.

See it March 21 and 22, at 7pm in West Asheville.

wasn’t just a puppeteer—he was also an avid patron of the arts! This Papier-Mache moose head originally caught Jim’s eye in 1966; after buying it, it quickly became a prominent feature in his New York offices. You can see this famously wacky piece in our museum’s re-creation of Jim Henson’s office. The artist, John D. Richards, is known for his fantastically whimsical folk art. Currently based out of North Carolina, he continues to make found-object sculptures out of discarded trash and metal at his studio, Yummy Mud Puddle. John D. Richards, Moose Head, 1965.
