This holiday, consider giving back to the community by fulfilling wishes from some of our treasured foster youth and adults.

Every year, Buncombe County Health and Human Services gathers wish lists, collects gifts, and delivers them to bring holiday cheer.

Help ensure that all of our foster youth and adults receive their holiday wishes. There are two ways to give:

Maker Faire this Saturday, April 5th from 10 am - 3 pm! Attendance is Free! Signing up is encouraged.

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned. With an emphasis on interactive, hands-on exhibits, people of all ages will leave inspired to make something of their own!

Signing up for a ticket ahead of time will save you time at the event, since you won't have to register to get a ticket when you arrive. Plus, signing up for a ticket now will help us estimate how many people will be coming and will help us plan our exhibits and interactive displays. And, we can keep you updated with the latest information about Maker Faire Asheville in case anything changes!

Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness.
