There is still time to donate to our Telethon campaign! We are so close to our goal that we’ve decided to keep it open until Friday this week. We are currently at 82% of our $20,000 goal - we are celebrating this amazing progress and calling in your support for the final push. Even $25 will help us reach our goal and will directly support our work with teen boys! We’re extremely grateful for all of your support!

This Week at Pathways we have Pickleball tonight from 5:30 - 7pm! This is open for drop ins so please reach out for details if your child is interested. We moved the time up to make the most of our daylight hours.

This Week at Pathways we have Frisbee Golf, Saturday at 10am! Reach out for details if your child would like to drop in for this event. Our Community Service project that was planned for Sunday will be rescheduled due to our Executive Directors health. He had a bit of a scare this past week and an emergency procedure - please send him well wishes as he recovers!

This week we moved onto the theme of Holding Space. Sitting with the questions: What’s the difference between attention and intention? How do our thoughts and feelings affect the air or environment around us?

We also had some fun at Pickleball Night!! This activity is open for drop in so please reach out if you’d like to join in the future.

This week we continued with the Theme of Trust that we started at our Open House. Helping the boys understand the value of trust and how to build truth telling and safety. We had a great turn out for our first Pathways Council Group!

Get to know our Mentors! Our next Spotlight is on our Mentor, Ralph Miller! From being a consistent presence in our Pathways Program to our Rite of Passage Adventure Weekend, Ralph has served our community well over this past year! Here he shares why he contributes to this work.

“I am a person who has been recognized as "Medicare Eligible", and it seems that I have entered that phase of life where contributing to a legacy has some importance for me. Yet, being of this age, I have still noticed a few things. One thing is that I have never met a person, especially a young man, who doesn't want to be respected and acknowledged for their place in the community.

Finding out the essence of who we are, and then figuring out how we can contribute to the community doesn't happen with the speed of a lightning strike. This happens through a continual and conscious journey among men who recognize the trials of manhood. We at Journeymen, are helping boys find the path that puts them on their journey toward becoming "Men of Integrity". And so, I join dozens of men with the same vision, and dedicate energy and time to creating the pathways for boys to walk, and hopefully become Journey Men.”
