It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend, fellow Soroptimist, and Past President, Donna Reisinger.

Many of you knew Donna through Soroptimist and were touched by her warmth, kindness, generous spirit, and unwavering heart for service. After the birth of her son, Joshua, Donna took a hiatus from the club to devote her time to being a mother during these precious early years.

Donna tragically passed away on July 9, 2026, following a motor vehicle accident. Her son, Joshua, was also involved in the accident and is currently receiving critical care at Providence. We ask that you keep Joshua, her husband Mathew, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Donna will be remembered for her compassion, her kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

What an incredible afternoon at our very first Soroptimist Fashion Show Fundraiser!

A huge thank you to Chair Mardy, Julia, and the entire committee for making this event a reality. We’re also grateful to our volunteer models, Lauren and Portfolio for bringing the runway to life, Dana Stabenow of StoryKnife for being our guest speaker, and O’Malley’s on the Green and their amazing staff, especially Caleb, for helping everything come together.

Thank you to our Soroptimist members whose ticket sales helped us sell out the event completely!

Because of the generosity of our guests, our Split-the-Pot fundraiser raised over $1,000, and attendees had the chance to win fantastic door prizes, including jewelry and a two-night stay at the Captain Cook Hotel.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated with us. We had such a wonderful time, and we’re excited to bring this event back next club year! 💙✨

Every year, Soroptimist of Anchorage comes together for one of our most treasured traditions: creating handmade “stockings” for the women and families at Clare House. 💙✨

These simple pillowcases, stitched with care by our members and friends, are filled with warm socks, winter hats, small comforts, and little reminders that someone out there is rooting for them. But more than anything, they’re packed with love, hope, and the belief that brighter days are ahead.

As we gather each year, we’re reminded why this event means so much to us. It’s not just about gifts, it’s about connection. About women lifting up other women. About sharing laughter, friendship, and purpose while creating something that will bring comfort to someone we may never meet, but deeply care about.

Seeing our group come together, smiling, working side by side, celebrating another year of service, is a beautiful reminder of the power of community. These moments are what make Soroptimist feel like family.

Here’s to another year of giving from the heart, spreading warmth across Anchorage, and continuing a tradition we hold so dear. 💫🎁💙
