Finally, the Philanthropy Tour made its way to Nudlaghi.

As we nestled into camp, we were able to reflect on the journey. Every place we visited taught us something new about connection, leadership, and community.

We were grounded in nature, filled with wisdom, and rich with laughter. And we got to hang out with some wicked cool Alaskans and an A+ camp crew!

On Day 5 of the Nudlaghi Philanthropy Tour, we visited the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP), Cook Inlet Tribal Council and Koahnic Broadcasting Corp — three organizations empowering Alaska’s people, future leaders and storytellers.

Tour participants also had a chance to hear from Willie Hensley and Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Conversations centered on history and hope for the future.

And then we went to the Arctic!
In Utqiaġvik, the Philanthropy Tour participants met with members of The Voice of the Arctic Inupiat to learn how communities unite to protect culture, land, and future.

In Prudhoe Bay we saw the Trans Alaska Pipeline System at Mile Post 0. A reminder of Alaska’s vast resources and the importance of stewardship.

We closed the day flying back to Anchorage, carrying with us stories from the Arctic Slope that highlight both challenges and remarkable leadership.

From health and healing to education and economic development, our day in Bristol Bay was centered around resilience. Highlights included the Culture Camp in Aleknagik, a lake tour with commercial fisherman Frank Woods III, and conversations on subsistence and self-determination.

The day wrapped up in the very best way — story time with local leaders. There was plenty of fish and lots of laughter.
