Bellyful Hutt Valley

Bellyful Hutt Valley Bellyful nourishes and connects communities by cooking and delivering free meals to whānau, with babi

Our aim is to encourage whānau to accept help and support from their local community - just like our grandparents did! Parenting is hard work, so why not take all the help that’s offered? Let’s all help each other out and build a stronger community in the process. You can help us fill bellies by making a donation: bellyful.org.nz/donate-now/

This quote from a Bellyful recipient stopped us in our tracks. We had to share it 🩷

"I love the no questions asked, no judgement, no need to explain yourself. Just support."

That's what Bellyful is all about.

Your donation helps our volunteers deliver more than meals. It helps families feel supported when they need it most.

⭐Are you looking for an opportunity to support your community?⭐

We're looking for Volunteer Deliverers in Lower Hutt.

For many families, a Bellyful delivery is more than just food. It's a reminder that their community cares and that they're not facing things alone.

Our deliverers collect meals from a designated collection point and deliver them to local families. It's a simple role, but one that has a real impact.

If you have a vehicle, a little time to spare, and would like to help local whānau, we'd love to hear from you.

If you're straight up keen - please fill in our volunteer form and we'll be in touch for a chat -> https://bellyful.org.nz/become-a-volunteer/

If you have questions first, please get in touch by email at [email protected]

⭐Are you looking for an opportunity to help your community?⭐

We're looking for someone who can host a Bellyful freezer or two in the Lower Hutt area (not Wainuiomata as we have one there already)

A freezer host provides a secure place for meals to be stored before they're collected by our delivery volunteers and taken to families across the Hutt Valley.

It's not the most visible role in Bellyful, but it's one of the most important. Without somewhere to store meals, we can't get them where they're needed.

If you have the space and would like to support local families in a practical way, we'd love to hear from you at [email protected]

Together, our Recipient Coordinators, Freezer Hosts and Deliverers help make sure Bellyful meals reach families when they need them most.
