Our happy Fri-yay post - to show areas in Wiri slowly getting cleaned up!

Here's an update of what the cul de sac at McLaughlins Road looks like now after some spring cleaning from our Wiri waste warrior, Quintin.

Less waste =
🌳Less drain blockages
🌳Less rubbish making it's way into our waterways and sea
🌳Improved environment for native birds to flourish
🌳A better place to do business

If you notice an area in the Wiri Business district that needs some attention, let us know.

Don't you just love a tidy looking street? We are loving the work our Wiri Waste Warrior Quintin is doing! This is the middle section of Mclaughlins Road....still more to go!

Tell us about your business in two minutes.

Sounds easy on paper, but it takes a bit more courage saying it in front of a room full of people.

But that's just what nine people did. And we learnt about customised glass, branded socks, that Russell is better at building than cooking at the Home Show, met a new business owner and Harold the giraffe - amongst other things!

All in an hour or networking.

Wiri Business Association loves to help build connections between local businesses and their people - AI can't replace that!

Thanks to everyone that shared more about their businesses:

Andrea from Colourworx
Antonia from Taonga Education Centre
Andrew from Cornerstone Security Ltd
Gene and Sher from Super Tyre Guy Manukau
Trent from Klackers Enterprise
Russell from Licensed Renovations
Sowndra from Sock Makers 2020 LTD
Kelvin from Life Education Counties Manukau

Kiwi room is a smaller room, that seats four people and has a whiteboard.

Get in touch with the team if you'd like to know more!

Did you know that we have our very own roastery in Wiri?

Brightside Coffee Roasters are obsessed about producing high-quality coffee, delivered fresh and consistently good!

Go and visit the Roastery at Unit 2/68 Mclaughlins Road on weekdays between 9am and 12pm to enjoy a coffee, meet the team and check out their blends.

Before and after of a job well done in Wiri!

We know litter is a bug bear in our business community.

Wiri Business Association has organised a contractor to come and target the smaller pieces of litter on our streets.

First stops this week were Kiwi Tamaki Drive, and spots on Ash Road and Dalgety Road.

Less litter in our streets = ensuring Wiri looks tidy to do business & better for our environment.

Let us know if there is a problem area near you and we'll look into it.

And thanks Quintin for your hard work!
