Seven people. 3,500km. One incredible challenge to raise funds for mental health 🚴‍♂️

This July, seven amateur cyclists will take on the entire Tour de France route, raising funds for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.

Team NZ are pushing their bodies to the limit to take a powerful stand for mental health in Aotearoa, and to remind us all how important it is to stay active.

There are just over two weeks left to get behind them. Donate now and show your support for better mental health.

Every contribution counts. Be part of their journey to the finish line.💜

Housing is mental health infrastructure.

Let’s respond to these challenges compassionately, and with solutions backed by evidence. We need more public housing and wrap-around support for unhoused people – not punishment.

Winter wellbeing starts with the small things. 💜

As the days get colder and darker, taking care of your wellbeing doesn't have to mean making big changes. A catch up with friends, a short walk, learning something new, or simply taking time to rest can all make a difference.

What’s one small thing you do to look after your wellbeing during winter? 🌧️✨

For more tips on how to take care of your wellbeing this winter, read the full guide via the link in our bio.

The Legislation (Definitions of Woman and Man) Amendment Bill seeks to deny the reality, dignity, and human rights of transgender, gender-diverse, intersex, and takatāpui people in Aotearoa New Zealand.

It risks worsening exclusion for people already experiencing much higher levels of loneliness, discrimination and mental distress - especially for the young people in these communities.

Join us in making a public submission to the Social Services and Community Committee to oppose this Bill before midnight 2 July.

Connecting with others doesn't have to be big. A quick catch-up. A shared laugh. A quick walk, or a few minutes of feeling seen and heard. When life feels a bit much, small moments of connection can make a real difference.

Budget 2026 risks putting pressure on mental health services and undermining the foundations of good wellbeing at a time when many New Zealanders are already facing long waits for support, housing insecurity and cost-of-living pressures.

While there’s new funding for frontline health, and some support for children, major gaps remain, especially in youth mental health, where urgent investment in prevention, promotion and early support is still needed.

We are also concerned that raising social housing rents will punish New Zealanders experiencing the most challenging circumstances and financial hardship, including people with significant mental health challenges living in social homes.

Social housing is mental health infrastructure. A safe, stable home is fundamental to good mental wellbeing, and we would like to see social housing made more readily available.
