This is the page of the Rotary Club of Manukau City Sunrise Inc. Rotary International was founded in Chicago in 1905 and established in New Zealand in 1921, is the world’s leading global network of c

ommunity volunteers with members drawn from business, the professions, and the community. Membership is open to men and women and in New Zealand there are 9,200 Rotarians. With a network encompassing 200 countries and 1.22 million Rotarians working together, their projects create amazing outcomes, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world. Over the years Rotarians have been a positive factor in hundreds of communities across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, be it through fun or disaster relief from floods, drought or bushfires. 100% of the funds raised by our New Zealand Rotarians are put back into projects to benefit local and international communities. Rotary activities bring an extra dimension to community life across New Zealand, the Pacific and the wider world. Rotarians run a multitude if programmes for young people including reading with primary school children, providing dictionaries in schools, a weekend of personal development for teenagers, Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) six-day leadership clamps for young adults and 12 month international Youth Exchanges for 16-17 year olds. The Rotary Youth Driver Awareness one day course for teenagers is a major step in helping create safer future divers and road users. Interact and Rotaract provide social and volunteering networks for school students and young adults. Cure Kids was started by Rotary and in other areas, medical specialist through Rotary donate their time and skills to carry out medical procedures in developing nations. Also Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC) funds children to come to New Zealand for advanced life saving operations not available in their own countries. Much individual health related projects are supported by Rotary. Contact Rotary Manukau City Sunrise to play your part in one of the many Rotary causes.

Thank you to the small and mighty dozen plus two furry friends Teddy and Xena, who chose to physically support , plus remembering past and present friends, family, colleagues afflicted with Kidney issues.

Also acknowledging Marshall Volunteers (not in photo):
Laumatau, Warren; Faizal, Reneesha, Aisha Club of Auckland Airport Area; and Amy from RCMS.

Ably supported on the day by Kidney Society - ADKS, Joanne Hand and staff, enjoying the route, company, outdoors, education.

Post debrief at local cafΓ© The Gaff Eatery, always good. Plus camaraderie from local businesses and library with display of flyers.

Online support and financial contributions very much appreciated, humbly grateful for, in this current climate πŸ™

A great exercise, literally, to build from. Community: It's up to Us.
