🍰🐾 Our Annual Cake Bake Sale & Raffle is Back in Willow Park! 🐾🍰

Join us on Saturday, 11th July from 11am–4pm at The Green, Willow Park Avenue for a fun afternoon of homemade cakes, sweet treats, refreshments and fantastic raffle prizes.

Bring your family, friends and, of course, your dogs! We'd love to see some furry faces enjoying the day too. 🐶❤️

As a charity run entirely by volunteers, every euro raised helps support the dogs in our care.

Rex came to the shelter through no fault of his own, he was never claimed. He is a very sweet, affectionate boy ., He loves people and going on walks with the volunteers 🐾 walks well on the lead.

🐾Rex hasn't mixed well with our dogs in the sanctuary(out loose together) he would prefer to be an only dog in the home.
🐾He has not been cat tested with ourselves but did come from a home with a cat but not sure their relationship status.
🐾We don't know how Rex would be with small children so we request older children in the home, pre teens +
🐾He is a very gentle dog, will need his training kept positive and fun.
🐾Someone at home most of the day, to help Rex settle.
🐾He might need a trip to the groomers every so often, to keep him feeling good.

🎉🐾 Teddy Pupdate 🐾🎉

Happy 1 year Gotcha Day Teddy! Some of you may remember Teddy (the most beautiful Chow Chow X Retriever boy) who came into the sanctuary last year. When we put up Teddy’s adoption post, his new owners dashed to the sanctuary as soon as they could. They knew it was meant to be. They had lost one of their Chow girls (Nala 🌈🐾) after 14 years & felt their other Chow girl, Lola, was really feeling her loss. Once Teddy met Lola, it was a match made in heaven! Teddy was adopted and wow did he get a 5 star home. He spends his days running around the garden with his little humans & best friend Lola. Thank you to his incredible family for giving Teddy the life he so deserves.

Could you spare a few hours a week to help change a dog's life?
At Dogs Aid, our rescue dogs rely on the kindness of volunteers every single day. Whether it's walking dogs, helping with feeding and cleaning, spending time with our older or nervous residents, or simply being part of a supportive team, every hour makes a real difference.
No experience is needed just a love of dogs and a willingness to help.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people, learn new skills, get some fresh air, and most importantly, help dogs on their journey to finding their forever homes. 🐶❤️

Our stunning Lurcher girl Lexi is patiently waiting for a forever home 🏠 This sweet girl was surrendered to the sanctuary through no fault of her own. Lexi has completely stolen our hearts. She is very affectionate, gentle & just the sweetest girl. She adores people and gets on well with other dogs. Lurchers make fantastic pets and we have no doubt that Lexi will make a great companion.

In typical Lurcher style, she loves her zoomies but equally loves her down time - she has requested the comfiest bed to curl up on in the evenings! ❤️

🐶 Can be homed with another male of similar
size (pending a meet & greet)
🐾 Lexi will thrive with regular exercise, playtime
& of course, lots of nap time too!
🏠 Suitable to live with Older Children / Teens +
❤️ Lexi will need someone home a good portion

WOW! 🤩
Toby is absolutely delighted with the response to our bottles and cans recycling campaign. Thanks to your incredible support, an amazing €745 has already been raised for the dogs in our care! ❤️🐾
From everyone dropping off a few bottles and cans to those collecting them from friends, family, neighbours and workplaces, every single contribution has helped make this fantastic result possible.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated bottles and cans so far. You are making a real difference to the lives of the dogs at Dogs Aid. ❤️🐶
A special thank you also to all of the wonderful volunteers involved every step of the way from collecting and gathering donations, sorting and separating bottles and cans, loading vans, transporting them, processing them at the return machines, and everything in between. Initiatives like this simply wouldn't be possible without volunteers giving up their time to help the dogs. ❤️🐾
The good news is... we're still collecting! ♻️
So please keep saving your bottles and cans and dropping them into the sanctuary. If your workplace, local business, sports club, family or friends would like to get involved too, we'd love your support.

Super little lady Cookie, was surrendered to the shelter .. Unfortunately she did not get on with the other dog already in the home.

She is adorable, very affectionate towards people, has a delightful personality, and is lots of fun to be around.
Daxi breed, have big dog courage, Cookie is brave, alert and has a spirited nature.
🐾Will need her training kept consistent and positive.
🐾Best suited as they only pet in the home.
🐾Due to her small size and big personality, older children preferably.
🐾Must be mindful of the stairs and jumping off furniture in the home.
🐾With regular relaxing strolls, ideally peaceful walks as a lot of other dogs around may trigger a little reaction from Cookie. 🐾With a regular routine and patience you will have a devoted, cuddly lap dog❤️
🐾Someone at home most of the day, to help Cookie settle.

Say hello to our gorgeous little girl, Coco 🐾 She came into our care from the pound so we don’t know much about her background. Understandably, she can be a bit shy initially but quickly shows off her very sweet & affectionate personality 🥰 She walks well on lead, gets on well with other dogs and just adores being fussed over by our volunteers.

As Coco has had a tough start in life, she will need someone home a good portion of the day to help settle her in. She can be a bit protective of her food so she will benefit from a home who can give her the time, patience & training to make her feel safe again. She is a little dote and will make a great companion in the right home.

🐶 Can be homed on her own or with another
male of similar size (pending a meet & greet)
🏠 Suitable to live with Teens + / Adult home
