One in Four welcomes the launch of the public survey by the Commission of Investigation into the Handling of Historical Child Sexual Abuse in Schools, and is providing independent support to anyone considering taking part. The survey forms part of the Commission’s work examining how concerns of historical child sexual abuse were handled in schools.

One in Four is here to support anyone who is considering taking part in the Commission’s survey, or who would like help to complete it. We will provide clear information about what participation involves, answer practical questions and help people access information about emotional and psychological supports. Contacting us does not commit anyone to completing the survey.

This dedicated service is for people considering or taking part in the Commission’s survey and is separate from One in Four’s general counselling, advocacy and support services.

One in Four is seeking a Strategic Engagement Coordinator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s engagement, communications, and outreach activities.

Working closely with the Strategic Engagement Director, the postholder will provide administrative, coordination, and communications support across a range of initiatives, events, campaigns, and projects.

One in Four are delighted to invite professional frontline workers to a very special full-day, in-person training on working with adult survivors of child sexual abuse.

Delivered in collaboration with the Kavanagh Sisters, this training will explore how the skills you already use every day in practice can be applied to make a real difference for survivors of child sexual abuse.

Grounded in a trauma-informed approach, the day will help you better recognise and respond to the ways trauma can present in adult survivors and build confidence in applying that understanding within your existing role.

This full day of expert-led, in-person training is a meaningful investment in both your professional development and the quality of support you can offer survivors.

Time: Full day (9:30am–4:30pm)
Location: The Carmelite Centre, Whitefriar Street, Dublin 2
