'Stimphony' explores the music within stimming bodies and asks: What does somatic regulation sound like? How do our bodies and brains manage the constant sensory input of our world?

Co-created with disabled adults in Cork and the Inclusive Music Ensemble, 'Stimphony' is a new theatrical-symphonic engagement with Neurodivergent experiences through movements inspired by body-memory, emotional regulation and personal growth.

🔗 Rizodencies 2026: Scores
👉 A 28-day residency in animated graphic notation and networked scores
🗓️ 1–28 September 2026
📍 Zavod Rizoma, Čermožiše, Haloze, Slovenia

Rizodencies 2026: Scores is a funded residency for four sound artists, composers, improvisers or performers to work intensively with Oscilla — an open-source framework for animated graphic scores — under the mentorship of its creator, Rob Canning.

Over 28 days, residents will explore the rhizome as a compositional principle: creating networked scores that branch, loop and interconnect rather than proceeding from beginning to end.

There is space for both individual projects and collaborative work — ensemble sessions emerge organically as residents discover shared interests. The residency culminates in a public concert in Maribor.

Warm congratulations to composer Caterina Schembri on last night's performance of 'Ode to Psyche', selected by the ISCM World New Music Days Festival to represent the Irish Section this year in Romania 🎉

This piece was performed by Corul Madrigal, conducted by Anna Ungureanu at the beautiful Sala Radio in Bucharest. The concert included guest performers from the CANTUS MUNDI National Program and percussionist Robert Nițu, featuring original contemporary works from Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, USA, Romania, Slovakia, China, Estonia and Hungary. Bravo artists 👏

CMC was delighted to attend and to hear Caterina's piece, which was first composed for Chamber Choir Ireland as part of Choral Sketches 2024-25, an artist development programme delivered by CMC Ireland and Chamber Choir Ireland.
