The Pioneers Project CIC was established in Plymouth, born out of a desire to uplift communities facing disadvantage. Our mission is deeply rooted in Barne Barton and Plymouth, where we strive to serve children, young people, and familie

s. We cherish individuality and acknowledge the vital role of connection in enhancing mental health and self-worth. Central to our vision is the transformation of Bull Point Barracks into a thriving community hub. This historic site will become a beacon of hope and opportunity, offering modern, inclusive facilities while preserving its rich heritage. Our community hub will be a focal point for social interaction, personal growth, and community engagement. We are dedicated to fostering strong community ties and empowering local residents through participatory activities and events. Our services are designed to positively impact social, emotional, and mental health by providing safe spaces for individuals to explore their potential and connect with others. Through our initiatives, we become mentors, allies, advocates, and positive role models, supporting our community members in becoming the best versions of themselves. Join us for a brilliant Men's Information, Health and Wellbeing Event right here in our community.

📍 The Barn Family Hub, Kit Hill Cres, Barne Barton, PL5 1EJ

✅ FREE ENTRY

Whether you're after health checks, want to chat with local community groups, or just fancy a free breakfast and a cuppa with other blokes, this is for you. We've got information stalls covering everything from mental health and veterans support to prostate cancer awareness and sexual health.

There's a prize draw, activities, blood pressure and BMI checks, plus free sausage baps, hot drinks, pastries and fruit to keep you going.

Family and friends are welcome too!

We're building a beautiful nature trail at Barne Barton Community Allotments and we need wood chip to help make it happen.
If you're a tree surgeon with WOOD CHIP to offload, we can help you out – and you'll be helping our Forest School and the whole community at the same time. It's a genuine win-win.

🤝 **Compassionate Cafe** – 1:30pm to 3:00pm
A warm, welcoming space for anyone caring for the dying, bereaved, or living with life-limiting illness. Come for a cuppa and support from a Compassionate Friend. You'll be heard, supported, and connected.

💭 **Marine Academy Listening Week**
We're excited to host MAP as part of their Listening Week initiative! They're out in the community asking an important question about what positive experiences you'd like to see for young people in the area.

This is your chance to have your say. Whether you're a young person, parent, carer, or community member – your ideas and insights matter. Come along and help shape a better future for the young people in Barne Barton.
