🎄✨ Window Dressing Competition: Results Are In! ✨🎄

Huge congratulations to Eclectic Interiors, winners of this year’s Chamber Cup, and West Country Embroidery, who were crowned Children’s Champion.

The children of Brunel Primary took their judging duties to heart: clipboards out, sharp eyes on everything. They loved the attention to detail in Eclectic’s display, and the snowy magic at West Country Embroidery was a big hit.

The decision was a close one as the whole town’s sparkle made judging a real challenge. Don’t miss:

✨ the handmade bead decorations on the tree at Nicky’s Glow Beads and Boutique

🚨 CRITICAL FESTIVAL UPDATE & ROAD CLOSURE CHANGES 🚨

Due to high gusts (predicted 38-48mph), which exceed the 28mph limit stipulated by our event insurance for outdoor market structures, we are safely cancelling the street market aspect of tomorrow's festival.

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY, THE FUN IS STILL ON!

We've moved the main activities to sheltered areas, which means a change to the road closures:
❌ Fore Street will NOT have an all-day closure (it will be open for traffic).
🚧 Wesley Road will now be closed ALL DAY to host the Stage, Carols, and Dog Show.
✅ Please continue to support our fantastic Fore Street shops and businesses—they are open as usual all day!
🚦 Brief, rolling closures will be in place for the Santa Fun Run (14:45) and the Lantern Parade (18:00). Please expect short delays in the town centre during these times.

Huge, festive thanks to the service delivery team at Saltash Town Council for picking up lanterns from primary schools and to our valiant volunteers for getting them ready for tonight's parade.

Our theme this year is 'Under the Sea', and Edwina the Angler Fish, designed by Isla in Year 7 in Saltash Community School, will be leading Robin, Snowman and the primary school lanterns past the Guildhall down to the Waterside, where fireworks will be let off from the pier at about 6:20pm.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR THE FIREWORK DISPLAY!

NEARLY TIME FOR hundreds of Santas on Bikes to cruise up Fore Street on their charity run to Children's Hospice South West at Little Harbour.
