🟠👀 EXPLORER TRAIL FUN! 👀🟢

A final reminder to all the children out there to hand in your Explorer Trail answers to our 10 questions about the village before the MIDDAY deadline this Bank Holiday Monday. We will be doing the draw shortly after midday & will contact the lucky winner on Monday afternoon so they can collect their prize of £5 of Shop vouchers to spend on anything they wish! (Parental guidance highly recommended!)

🐟🐠🐟 FISH VAN FRIDAY! 🐠🐟🐠

The fish van will be delivering this Friday 28th August between 12 midday - 4pm. If you would like to place an order please email Rob on [email protected] by no later than midday this Thursday . If you are unlikely to be at home then please advise of a safe place to leave your delivery or ask that it is delivered to the Shop for you to collect.

The next planned delivery date after this week is Friday 18th September.

🟠🎉 LOTTERY RESULTS! 🎉🟢

Congratulations to Clare Lee who won last week’s rollover lottery to win the jackpot of £74! 🎉 The winning number was 7.
We are up & running for another week of lottery play so don’t forget to buy your number next time you are in the Shop.

🟠☀️ WEEKEND WHAT’S ON! ☀️🟢

Thanks to all those that have donated to our book boxes. Lots of you picking up some summer reading & hobbies & interest books. The children’s books have been very popular too. No more donations needed at the moment thanks - we have got quite a stack in store now! 📚
Here’s what’s on this weekend:
🔸 we have hot pasties in the warmer from 10-1pm today
🔹we have a rollover jackpot of £36 from last week so get your number today for tonight’s draw for a chance to win another healthy jackpot already nearly £70 🎉
🔸 just a reminder that our Explorer maps are still available from the Shop. Free to enter the children can walk round the village & find the answers to 10 questions. Hand in the completed map with their name & contact number added and they will be entered into our prize draw on 31st August to win £5 in Shop gift vouchers 🥳 Free sweets for each map entered! 😯

All the usual great choice of products in your local Community Shop so do pop in & see us this weekend! 😎

🟠👀 EXPLORER TRAIL FUN! 👀🟢

In a moment of summer madness we have decided to do a prize draw 🎉 on our summer Explorer Trail quiz for the children! Just write your name & contact number on the back of your completed quiz map and hand in to one of the Volunteers in the Shop. We will put all the entries into a draw and the winning name will be drawn on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August just after midday! 🎉 One lucky young person will win £5 in Shop vouchers - you can get lots of sweets, ice creams & drinks for that prize! 🥳

Have great fun with this walk around the village to find the answer to 10 questions and learn a few things as you go!

🟠 GET INVOLVED WITH YOUR COMMUNITY SHOP 🟢

We are looking for a couple of people to join the Shop Management Board responsible managing the company - its financial performance, premises & other assets, ensuring corporate policies & regulations are in place & are followed, planning the development of the business etc. It is a genuinely rewarding & valuable voluntary role.

You don’t need experience in retail (we have all learned as we have gone along!) but a practical approach & willingness to contribute to this valuable asset that is so appreciated by the community in this village. There will be plenty of help & support from existing Board members so you can play a real part in building the Shop’s current & future capability.

It takes willingness from the community to run the Shop successfully so if you have even an inkling of interest please contact our Company Secretary, Sue Morrish on [email protected] and arrange a convenient time for an informal chat.
