🟠😇 NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK 2026 😇🟢

All this week there is a national celebration of the wonderful work done by volunteers in every community & the incredible contribution they make.
This village has so many volunteers doing all sorts of work to help build & maintain the thriving & close knit community that is St Dominick. Thank you to ALL volunteers 🙏

Obviously we are very proud of our own Shop volunteers - hard working, dedicated & welcoming people that give their time so willingly each week to look after our customers & keep the Shop open and available 7 days a week. THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊

🐟🐠🐟 FISH VAN FRIDAY! 🐠🐟🐠

The fish van will be delivering this Friday 5th June. If you would like to order please email Rob on [email protected] by no later than the end of the day tomorrow, Wednesday 3rd June. If you are unlikely to be at home then please advise of a safe place to leave your delivery or ask that it is delivered to the Shop for you to collect.

The next planned delivery date after this is Friday 26th June.

🟠☀️ WEEKEND WHATS ON! 😎🟢

Mercifully cooler today & the Shop is back to a sensible temperature but it’s still an absolutely lovely day!
Our reduced fridge chocolate bars & chocolate biscuits are ready & waiting for you to snap up a bargain. Prices listed on the fridge door.
Don’t forget the Marie Curie coffee morning in the Parish Hall until 12.30. Cakes & bric-a-brac on offer so do pop in & support this important fund raising event.

🔹 A few numbers still on the lottery Board with the rollover jackpot standing at well over £70, it would be a shame to miss out - get your number today before tonight’s draw 🤞🏼

☀️🔥 THE HEAT!🔥☀️

Thanks to all our customers this last few days for braving the heat in the Shop. Our apologies that the stocks of chocolate have been very limited - we are currently storing elsewhere at a cooler room temperature. The Shop is still too warm to return it at the moment but we hope to display very soon.

Unsurprisingly, we did have some spoiled stock which will be reduced & on display when the Shop is cooler. We do however have chocolate products in a fridge - they were suffering from the heat & put in a fridge to stop any further deterioration. It will remain in the fridge and is now for sale at a discounted price:
▫️10% off all chocolate bars
▫️20% off all chocolate covered biscuits
PLEASE NOTE that there may be a white coating on the chocolate which went soft but has now reset but it is perfectly safe to eat. The biscuits may also have lost some of their crunch.

Finally, a HUGE thank you to our hero volunteers who have done their shifts and kept the Shop running this week 😇 Just the best team! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
