Join us on Saturday 21st November at 7pm at the Community Kitchen, 8 Fore Street, for a night of good food, good company and a proper Italian welcome.

£20 per person gets you:
🧀 Antipasti to start
🍝 Homemade lasagne (meat or veg) with green salad and garlic bread
🍰 Tiramisu to finish

Bring your own w**e, grab a seat at the table and meet your neighbours!

Our Community Kitchen is open to everyone - pop in for a proper cooked lunch, a cuppa, or just a sit-down and a chat. No rush, no fuss, just good food and good people.

Every visit helps support the wider work our Community Enterprises PL12 does across Saltash - as we put any profits from any of our enterprises back into our support groups such as Memory Box, workshops, our Fridge & Larder, office spaces and so more - so when you eat with us, you're doing more than having a cuppa. You're helping to support Saltash.

♻️ Recycle Your Ink Cartridges and Help Support Saltash!

Did you know you can help us raise funds simply by recycling your used ink cartridges?

Through our Recycle4Charity programme, you can drop your empty ink cartridges into the collection point at our Community Gift Shop. For every eligible cartridge recycled, we can receive up to £2 in donations.

And every cartridge helps support the wider work we do across Saltash.

We put all profits from our Enterprises back into our community, helping us run and support projects including Memory Box, workshops, our Fridge & Larder, Community Kitchen, office spaces, and more.

So, when you recycle with us, you're doing more than keeping an ink cartridge out of landfill. You're helping support Saltash.

🏆 We've been nominated for The King's Award for Voluntary Service! We're so proud to share that Community Enterprises PL12 has been nominated for The King's Award for Voluntary Service 2026, the highest award given to local voluntary groups in the UK. It's the equivalent of an MBE for volunteers!

Last month, some of our team went to County Hall in Truro to collect our certificate from the Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall, Colonel Sir Edward Bolitho, alongside other nominated groups from across the county.

But this nomination isn't ours alone. It belongs to every single volunteer who gives their time, kindness and energy to our Saltash community, whether in the Community Kitchen, Memory Box, Fridge & Larder, Gift Shop, Premises, or behind the scenes helping to support and run our Enterprises. Thank you. You are what makes PL12 what it is. 💛

The successful groups will be announced in November.

Congratulations to all the other nominated groups, too. It's wonderful to see so much brilliant work being recognised across Cornwall.

Do You Mind If I Sing? - Every Wednesday, 10.30am–12.00pm, Saltash Wesley Church on Callington Road fills with music, singing and smiles. 🧡

Our friendly sing along is for people affected by a mild to moderate cognitive impairment or dementia. Come along, sing your heart out, get support and company, or simply sit back and enjoy the music. Everyone is welcome!

But this is so much more than a singalong. Memory Box is part of Community Enterprises PL12 in the heart of Saltash, and groups like this exist because of the support of our community.

And you can be part of it.

When you shop in our Community Gift Shop, pick up something from our Fridge & Larder, or enjoy a cuppa or a meal in our Community Kitchen, the profits go towards supporting vital groups like this one.

Every purchase helps keep the music playing. 🎵

This is NOT just a local enterprise. It's part of something BIGGER
You might know us as the Community Kitchen or Gift Shop on Saltash's Fore Street, but we're actually just a part of Community Enterprises PL12 CIC, and there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than most people realise.

We're not a grant pot sitting quietly in the background - we're hands-on. We support our Saltash community directly, through PEOPLE, PREMISES & PROJECTS.

A bit about us:
Set up in 2006, we're a not-for-profit run entirely by a board of local directors - people who live right here in Saltash and the surrounding areas. Between us, we have over 100 amazing volunteers, more than 700 members, and just 2 paid staff.

Any profit from any of our enterprises or initiatives goes back into our local causes, from our vital community groups to our Fridge and Larder.

What we do:

🟢COMMUNITY KITCHEN: We run a genuinely great value lunch in our Community Kitchen at 8 Fore Street- good food, good company, and a bit of friendship for anyone who fancies it.

🟡FRIDGE & LARDER: Gives the community access to surplus food that would otherwise go to waste - good for local pockets, and good for the planet too.

🟣VOLUNTEERING: We offer volunteering opportunities for all sorts of people - from retired folk with time to give, working professionals wanting to make a difference, and young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh award.

🟠MEMORY BOX: This group provides support and activities for those affected by a mild to moderate cognitive impairment, especially dementia.

🔵OFFICE SPACE: We run great value offices for rent in the heart of Saltash - which is vital to keeping local support in the town - from Storybook Dads , Saltash Foodbank and Citizens Advice Cornwall as well as local businesses.

We share ideas, share resources, and roll up our sleeves - all with one aim: making Saltash and the surrounding area a better place to live, work, and visit.

So next time you pop into the Gift Shop, Community Kitchen or Fridge and Larder, or Memory Box, remember - you're stepping into so much more.
