🙂Hello Plymouth and surrounding community🙂
👋We are Matt & Maria from Kaboom, a community organisation based in Stonehouse which offers workshops for the community and a music studio.
🔸Currently we deliver rhythm tap dance and improv comedy courses, we have a community studio and are about to start a Youth Music Project which focuses on songwriting, band making, recording and gigging.
All we do comes with the spirit of positive transformation and empowerment, bringing people together creatively which has massive impact on mental health and wellbeing.
🔸We have been operating in Stonehouse, Plymouth since November 2022, at Leadworks. Leadworks has been a transformative place for us which has allowed us to plant a seed in the Plymouth community. Now we find ourselves in the position of having to move on and find another space to continue the project.
🌿What are we looking for?
We have some ideas in mind -
🌱One would be to have a collaborative/cooperative creative space with other creatives in the community. We all share the space and we operate through a timetable basis depending on when we need the space.
🌱Find a place where we can operate both as a community organisation and also as a living space.
🌱Rent a space within an organisation or rent our own building.
We are open to suggestions, please feel free to share this post/news with others and get in touch.
