A fantastic day for 335 Sqn today. Two former cadets graduated from RAF Phase 1 training at Royal Air Force Halton. Former cadet and CFAV Carissa Ambrose and cadet Sgt Jack Hulbert achieved their dreams. It’s easy to spot Jack as he’s the tallest on parade.

An excellent weekend of shooting for the Squadron and Plymouth & Cornwall Wing Air Cadets at HMS Rayleigh. Staff and cadets from across the Wing attended a Bronze Shooting Live Firing Marksmanship Training course to try and achieve their Bronze Shooting badge.

Despite heavy winds, the Cornish sunshine prevailed and most cadets were successful in achieving their Bronze Shooting badge. Thanks to the Royal Navy for sharing your fantastic facility.

Following the very successful International Camp to Luxeuil BA116 in August, here is post from the base commander about all the events that took place last year. Along with the French President, ceremonial events, training and community involvement, Plymouth & Cornwall Wing Air Cadets made a significant contribution to to their calendar last year with an exciting week of STEM, section visits, adventurous training, museums and representing the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

Well done to everyone involved. We have invited them back for a camp in August this year, with details to follow soon.

What a fantastic weekend for three of our cadets. Cpl Yorke-Dunne and cdt Dorrian and cdt Tomkinson all visited 626 Volunteer Gliding Squadron, Predannack Airfield, Cornwall where they were fortunate enough to have two flights each in a glider. The Cornish weather didn’t disappoint and in perfect cloudless skies they took to the air. These are experiences they will remember forever.
