🏃‍♂️ Another one of our Run Norwich 2026 runners was out training this evening – Tom, CEO of It's On The Ball Testicular Cancer Charity. 💙

Tom spent 12 years teaching Maths and Computer Science in Norfolk before becoming CEO of the charity last September, but his connection to the cause is deeply personal.

"Seven years ago, at just 28 years old, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I underwent surgery to remove one of my testicles, followed by a round of chemotherapy. Now I'm dedicated to making sure other young people know the signs and symptoms and understand the importance of checking themselves. Early detection can make all the difference."

Today, Tom spends much of his time visiting schools, colleges and businesses, delivering awareness talks and supporting patients and their families through the charity's work in local hospitals.

Now he's taking on Run Norwich 2026 to raise even more awareness and funds for this vital cause. If you'd like to support Tom and help motivate him through the training and on race day, any donation, share or message of encouragement would mean so much.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to the first of our monthly pub quizzes at The Cottage, Thorpe St Andrew, in aid of It's On The Ball – Testicular Cancer Charity! 💙⚽

We all had a fantastic evening, testing our knowledge across rounds on General Knowledge, Sport, Gameshows, Locations, and Songs from the Musicals. There was plenty of laughter and friendly competition throughout!

🏆 Congratulations to Team "We're with Beth's Husband" for taking 1st place!

🥄 And, of course, a special mention to the team who finished last, who proudly took home the famous IOTB "We Ballsed It Up" wooden spoon!

Thanks to everyone's generosity and support, we raised an amazing £255. This will go towards supporting patients in the local area and funding our vital awareness talks in local schools and colleges.

Thank you once again to everyone who joined us, donated, took part in the raffle, and made the evening such a success. We can't wait to do it all again!

Connor and Lewis from Norwich are taking on the Rat Run Rally in September 2026, raising vital funds and awareness for It's On The Ball – Testicular Cancer Charity.

Their challenge? Drive 1,300 miles across Europe in a car worth £600 or less. They'll be putting their Pink VW Golf to the ultimate test—but whether it makes it all the way is all part of the adventure!

Their route will take them from:

📍 Dover
➡️ Rouen
➡️ Bordeaux
➡️ Zaragoza
🏁 Finishing in Benidorm 🏁

Along the way, they'll face long days on the road, unexpected breakdowns, and plenty of challenges, all while supporting a charity dedicated to raising awareness of testicular cancer, encouraging regular self-checks, promoting early detection, and supporting those affected by the disease.

We are privileged to have four confirmed runners representing It's On The Ball – Testicular Cancer Charity at Run Norwich 2026 this year. 💙🏃

One of those runners is Gabrielle from Lowestoft, whose motivation is deeply personal:

"In 2024, just before his 25th birthday, my fiancé Mason found a lump and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. After surgery and chemotherapy, he’s now cancer free and healthy,something we’ll never take for granted. This charity supported us during one of the hardest times in our lives, so this run means a lot. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much and go towards helping others who need it most." 💙

We’re incredibly grateful to Gabrielle for taking on this challenge and sharing her story. Every donation helps us continue raising awareness, supporting those affected by testicular cancer, and encouraging men to check themselves regularly.
