MensCraft

MensCraft From adolescence to older age, we support men through life’s complexities, whether that’s navigating fatherhood, retirement, or times of stress and crisis.

Our work includes personalised one-to-one support, group sessions and links to specialist services. MensCraft supports boys and men of all ages. We offer information, activities and programmes to meet the challenges of each different life stage. Our approach is strengths based and promotes the values of positive masculinity and gender equality. We support young men making the transition to adultho

od; men as fathers and those experiencing difficulties for example in their family lives or with their mental health. We provide one-to-one support and access to other specialist services. Our range of activities give boys and men purpose, the opportunity for connection with others, and opportunities for improved wellbeing.

One of the most pernicious aspects of the Manosphere is how it positions women: as manipulative, inferior, and existing solely to serve men. It frequently reduces women to status objects, valuing them for their looks via a rating system, or their submissiveness, passivity and obedience to male authority. Relationships are framed as transactions, where men swap physical safety and financial security for s*x.

Come and learn why these narratives might seem appealing to some boys and young men, and how to have grounded conversations that encourage emotional literacy, build belonging and purpose and promote respectful relationships.

When: this Thursday, 21 May, 6.30-8pm
Where: The Forum, Norwich

The Mindful Life Group CIC supports older adults and caregivers through evidence-based online programmes focused on mental health and wellbeing.

They are currently accepting applications for their free Better Sleep Programme for Caregivers, starting in June.

The programme is designed for caregivers (typically aged 65+) who are experiencing difficulties with sleep. It is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an NHS-recommended approach for sleep difficulties, and supports participants to:
• Better understand sleep patterns and habits
• Develop relaxation and calming strategies
• Manage anxiety and worry related to sleep
• Improve wellbeing for both the caregiver and the person they care for

The course runs online via Zoom over 6 weekly sessions and is completely free to attend.

Life can feel relentless. Work, family pressures, isolation, stress, loss, poor mental health or simply feeling stuck can leave many men carrying more than they let on. The Men’s Woodland Project offers something different: time outdoors, practical activities, good company and the chance to reconnect - with nature, with other people and with yourself.

Set in the woods and shaped by the changing seasons, the project brings men together in a welcoming, non-judgemental environment where conversation happens naturally and nobody is expected to have the answers.

Whether you’re struggling, rebuilding, looking for connection or simply wanting to get outside more, you’ll be welcome here.

Join Andy Woodand Paul from Move Pause Restore over six Fridays in a private meadow near Diss. £60, or £30 for unwaged or low income participants. Includes food and activities. Find out more and book via the link below.

MensCraft's roots are in nature-based activities. Time outdoors, doing something practical and being alongside others - these things matter for improving and maintaining our health and wellbeing.

The Woodland Project is for any man who wants to step out of the day-to-day and spend time in nature, but especially for those who might be feeling isolated or finding things difficult.

Running across six Fridays through May, June and early July, the programme offers a mix of hands-on activity and quieter moments. There’s practical work to give something back to the woodland, along with green woodworking, whittling and other bushcraft skills. There’s also space for slower, more reflective experiences such as walking or forest-bathing.

But more than anything, it’s about connection. Sharing food (included), gathering around the fire and talking - or just sitting in companionable silence. Building trust, finding common ground, and being part of something.

The cost for six sessions is £60 for waged participants or £30 for unwaged or low income participants. Those able to do so are encouraged to make an additional donation.

The Project is held in beautiful private woodland near Diss. The precise location is shared once you've booked your place.
